Great experience, great crew, wonderful memories. Sea sick and all :) - Although our family of 7 became a bit sea sick and unable to finish the fishing charter, we really had as good of a time as possible. The captain and one crew mate were very friendly, and helpful. When they saw we were not doing so well, they cared for us as much as they could by checking on us, offering waters, trying to steal the boat out of some of the huge waves and even cleaning out vomit buckets with a smile lol The boat was comfortable, ran properly and they offered as advertised light snack and drinks. They had soda, water, beer and rum. I could not imagine drinking and rum while sea sick so I bet they save lots on that :) They also offered a fruit tray that was nice and cold and sealed. When returning us they offered to take us to go snorkeling or swimming in shallow ocean waters since we still had time in our reservation. Some of the family wanted to go back to the condo and others wanted to swim. They had no problem what so ever dropping some off at the condo and then returning us back for swimming. The two people working on the boat, speak pretty good English, I do have some Spanish speaking skills very little but some that helped and talking with them was very easy. They happen to be located at jellyfish restaurant and for us that was very convenient because we happen to be staying at that location, we did not know this when we booked. So we did not need their transportation but they offered it with ease. It was a great time, sea sick and all. The water was beautiful, I never seen such deep dark blue water and it was a memory I will have for a lifetime. The crew won’t be forgotten either. Absolutely recommend

Fairly priced and honest! - Francisco was there to meet us at the van drop-off. He speaks English very well and was able to help us gain access to a hotel's bathroom on the very short walk to the boat. Once we arrived, Francisco assessed it was not in our best interest to go out that day. He noticed one of our family members not getting around very well with his walker, and the water was fairly choppy that day. Since there is no pier, you must take a smaller boat to the the fishing boat and transition. He said he would still take us but would strongly recommend against it given the shape of our family member. I'm sure Francisco lost a decent amount of money by turning us away and issuing a full refund. We truly appreciate your assessment and honesty in keeping our family safe- thanks again, Francisco!

Caught fish, watched whales, friendly crew... - Friendly crew who also arranged for us an efficient shuttle service from Club Med. Caught fish (mostly dorado) & saw a trio of whales. The vessel's engine/exhaust could use a tune-up, as the fumes blowing back on deck were pretty heavy at times. Very good trip overall.

Don’t be fooled be prepared - Th driver was half hour late but there a communication error with directions and they made it up with little extra time on water. Guide and captain were amazing , it was a rough start boring , then we ended up catching 4 Mahi mahi and had fun. The good Viator rep referred to us to local restaurant to have our fish cleaned and cooked, Cielo is tha name of the place . Bunch crooks turned what shoudl have been 152$ for food and water for 7 imto $200. Total scam so here is what you do , before you leave resort check with your resort and ask if you can bring cleaned fish back to have it cooked there! Some will some won’t! Do not fall for the oh it’s only $20 per person to have it cleaned and cooked at beach . Also it’s a trolling fishing trip so They never stop moving just do not expect to go far out and settle in and fish and move on. Overall nice people and fun experience

Can you handle the waves? - A person can find out quickly if they are a a deep sea fisherman quickly when there are 15-20ft swells. Unfortunately, our family is not - lol. However, Eguy (spelling unknown), was so incredibly helpful. There were four of us, and 3 were down. He was right there handing us what we needed to survive and when we said no more, they took us to a great spot to just swim and jump in. Unfortunately no fish, but we were all ok with that and our boat captain and guide made it all worth it. So if you can rock the boat, go. If not, just stay home.

Fishing - The fishing crew did their best to put us on the fish and we caught three. It’s fishing and nothing is a guarantee. They provided chips and salsa and plenty of refreshments.

Very Rough Seas! - Very nice Captain and crew. However, there were a few hiccups. First, it was not the boat that was advertised. The boat wasn't bad, it just wasn't the Mar Quesa that was advertised and told that I would be on. Felt like it was a bait and switch. Also, the seas were very, very rough. So rough that it should have been explained more clearly how rough the really were or the trip cancelled. You couldn't even sit in the fighting chair and reel in a fish as the seas were so rough. It was such a bad experience our son was scared (and got sea sick) and we had to go in. We were only out there a little over an hour. No refund or partial refund was offered. I understand that it was our decision to go back in but probably should have never gone out in the first place. I have been deep sea fishing many times and never experienced water like that and it was referred to as "normal". Again, crew was very nice and helpful but the trip was a waste of $700+. Could have used that money toward much more enjoyable experience!

Warning - absolutely horrible - We booked the four hour fishing trip and were very excited to go. We had some issues with pickup at our hotel, but some of it was the hotel’s fault. Francisco picked us up and spoke decent English, and he told us he would be on the ship with us. However, when the small boat dropped us at the fishing boat, he did not get on. He left us. The two workers on the boat were nice but had very limited English. Francisco had also said it was a “beautiful day for fishing.” What we didn’t know was that it was a yellow flag day with extremely rough waters. We have been on cruise ships before, spent time on boats on busy lakes, taken dolphin cruises, plus my husband had gone deep sea fishing in the past. However, we were not prepared for the misery that we endured. Within five minutes, my daughter was flat and did not move the rest of the trip. Within 30 minutes, my entire family of five (all above the age of 16) were lying flat on the floor and feeling terrible. If we stood, we fell over. If we sat, we were thrown around and nauseous. To make matters worse, we did not even get a nibble. This was probably because the lures were barely in the water, skipping along the top. I would consider my family pretty tough, but this trip was torture. We understand that the rough waters and fish not biting are not their fault, but in circumstances like this, we feel that we should have been given the option in advance of rescheduling, or at least getting some money back based on the conditions. They knew they were taking us out in very tumultuous waters, but they already had our money and did not care. We do not recommend this excursion at all.

Overpriced boat ride. - Completely unprofessional Took almost 3 hours and multiple attempts to have tour operator return communication about pick up time on the day of the excursion. Pick up time was half hour late from the start of the excursion. Half hour shuttle ride Waited over half hour on beach for captain and crew. 1.5 hrs Total behind schedule. 2 hours on the water trolling around with all the fishing lures skipping along the top of the water Only 2 small fish caught. Than drove in circle for half hour while one crew member threw a line out trying to snag something near the beach. One small yellow fish caught. Crew was NOT fluent in English Crew sat on back of boat and chatted while our group was bored and falling asleep. Only water and few beers available no rum.
