Dangerous and over crowded. - After paying £270 + with TUI for the Gold area experience. On arrival we were shunted up to the gods and shoehorned into a cattle pen with barely enough space to pass the person beside you to exit. The place was dangerously overcrowded and we couldn’t see any fire exit signs. If there had been a fire I know escape would have been almost non existent for those up in our sections and the casualty rate would have been worse than the recent fire in Switzerland. We asked to be moved to empty seats but we were told it would cost us more to do so even though they were in the so called Gold section. My partner had a panic attack due to the overcrowding and it took us almost 20 minutes to get through the dance hall to one of 2 exits. Now the show what we saw if it was pretty decent but to be honest save your self a few quid and find somewhere else.

Wish we read the reviews - I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Coco Bongo in Punta Cana. The venue was dangerously overcrowded—to the point where it was impossible to move or even find a place to stand. There was absolutely no chance of getting a drink. After waiting in line at the bar, we were asked to leave the queue entirely because the area was “too busy.” We paid €277 for two people, yet when we asked staff what our options were—given there was nowhere to stand and no access to drinks—we were told the only option was a €1000 upgrade for seats. No alternative, no attempt to resolve the situation, just a hard sell in an already unacceptable environment. We left after 20 minutes because we genuinely did not feel safe in such an overcrowded space. This felt less like a premium nightlife experience and more like being packed into an unsafe venue and pressured to spend an outrageous amount of money just to have basic comfort. For the price already paid, the experience was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this venue unless you are prepared for extreme overcrowding or willing to pay a significant additional fee just to make the night tolerable.
