Best excursion in DR! - By far the best excursion our family has ever taken. We took the private catamaran tour with 16 family members ranging in age from my youngest of 3 to my parents in their 60s and all had the time of their lives! Once on board the catamaran the crew made us feel like friends not just clients. The bartender didn't waste anytime serving cocktails for the adults and soft drinks/water for the kids. The first stop was the amazing snorkeling tour. The crew had what looked to be thousands of Beautiful fish swimming around as soon as you got off the boat. I thought that was enough but no, The crew then instructed us to follow where we swam through a beautiful coral reef. The entire time I felt safe with our instructor to have even my 9 year old take the tour no problem. After snorkeling we took another ride to our next stop the Dominican national park. Along the way William (more on him later) was giving us history on the park and some of the resorts we were passing along the way. Arriving at the beach of the park allowed us to get out and explore the beautiful beach and get out and let the kids enjoy swimming in the beautiful clean water. I believe William said only the catamaran tours can stop at this beach making it feel very private. Like our own private beach day. How can you go wrong with a private catamaran tour over a coral reef and virtually private beach day! What REALLY made this excursion though was the crew! Captain didn't talk much, stayed focused on the task at had which was navigating the catamaran and did an amazing job! I have experience in boating so I know the challenge it can be and the captain executes flawlessly making you feel safe putting your family on. The crew member that acted as deck hand as well as snorkling tour did amazing! Took us to some AWESOME corals and made us feel safe out there. He will also keep you engaged when he has some downtime. You could catch him trying to throw the football with member of our party any chance he got. On the tour you will have a personal photographer, He mostly stays behind the scenes capturing those candid moments but he did an amazing job. I cant remember if he is a member of Bavaro Adventure park or not but know these pictures are an additional cost if you choose to purchase them after the tour which we did. The bartender was amazing. She took a liking to my 3 year old right away (maternal instincts I think) and invited her for a tour of the boat to break her out of her nervous shell and that she did. She was dancing and singing within no time :) I joked (but not really) to the bartender that she does her job TOO GOOD! Before I finished my last sip, It seemed she was there to greet me with my next, no matter where I was, On the boat, In the water, or on the beach. You will NOT go thirsty on this tour I can promise you that! After snorkeling she served us chips, salsa and queso. It's just tostitos, don't expect fancy nachos or anything but it hit the spot after snorkeling! Finally William our main tour guide. William made the tour fun from the start even when dealing with the boring paperwork. William truly made you feel like a friend from the start. William speaks fluent English with no noticeable language or accent barrier. I believe it was said he speaks 12 languages fluently. With William as your tour guide, you can not go wrong!

It was great!! - It was a great experience. Everyone was kind and professional. We had a great time! The only thing we wish we had the option to do was have our phones for the Lagoon!
