Our journey begins at the Plaza de Armas, the vibrant center of Punta Arenas. Here, you’ll be captivated by the historic architecture surrounding this iconic square, which reflects the economic prosperity from sheep farming and the introduction of sheep from the Falkland Islands, a time known as the white gold era.

• Museo Salesiano / Magiorinno Borgatello - Maggiorino Borgatello Museum (Salesian Museum)

Our next stop is the Maggiorino Borgatello Museum, an intriguing cultural venue established by the Salesian missionaries. This museum features an impressive array of indigenous artifacts, regional wildlife displays, and historical items that narrate the story of Patagonia’s early communities and the missionary influence in the area.

• Mirador Cerro De La Cruz - We will then proceed to the Cerro de la Cruz Viewpoint, where we’ll take in the most stunning panoramic views of the city, the Strait of Magellan, and the expansive Patagonian landscape. This location is ideal for capturing unforgettable photos of your visit.
• Cementerio Municipal - Sara Braun Cemetery

Our tour continues at the Sara Braun Cemetery, a national monument celebrated as one of the ten most beautiful cemeteries worldwide. Discover the unique features that make this site so special during our visit.

• Monumento Al Ovejero - Monument to the Shepherd (Monumento al Ovejero)

We’ll visit the Monument to the Shepherd, a homage to the iconic Patagonian sheep herders who significantly contributed to the region’s economic development during the “white gold” era.

Costanera and the Strait of Magellan

We’ll conclude our tour with a leisurely walk along the modern Costanera, offering picturesque views of the Strait of Magellan.
