- Puno - Islas de los Uros - We will collect you from your hotel in Puno’s historic center between 06:45 and 07:00. Before boarding the motorboat to Uros Island, we’ll make a brief stop at the dock where you can buy snacks and bottled water. Once on board, our guide and the boat captain will introduce themselves and provide an overview of the Lake Titicaca itinerary. Our first destination is the floating islands of Uros. During the journey, you’ll see cattail plants growing in the lake. Upon arrival, the island chief will demonstrate how the islands are constructed with reeds and share a few words in Aymara. The locals are known for their crafts, which you can purchase. You will also have the option to sail on a reed boat (15 Soles) to the main island of Uros and get your passport stamped as a souvenir. From here, we will start our boat trip to the Taquile Islands. You can head to the upper deck of the boat to take photos of the floating islands.
- Taquile Island - Located on Lake Titicaca, Taquile Island is home to a Quechua community of 2,000 people, primarily farmers, fishermen, and renowned weavers. Unlike the traditional view of weaving as a women’s craft, in Taquile, men perform much of the intricate thread work. The locals will invite us to watch and participate in their traditional dances. We will then walk to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, around 2:30 PM, you will board the boat back to Puno. At approximately 4:30 PM, the boat will dock at the Puno pier, where we will meet you and return you to your hotel in the historic center of the city.

Adventure in Puno - Carmen the best advisor, we did all the tours with her and guided us in the best way. We met taquile and sillustani.

It was a very enjoyable... - It was a very enjoyable trip with lots of nice and amazing views. We were given a lot of useful information by the guide. The lunch was nice as well. The meeting point in the morning was clear and we departed on time towards the port.

This excursion was... - This excursion was incredibly fun! Our tour guide, Samuel, did a good job showing us around Lake Titicaca. We got to see the lifestyle of the Uros people and gorgeous landscape on Taquile Island (the hike up to the main plaza in Taquile was a bit more strenuous than expected). Carmen deserves a special shout out as we left a bag on the boat that she hand-delivered to our hotel. When we offered to compensate her for her troubles, she politely declined. I highly recommend this excursion!

Beautiful and cultural — a great tour to experience Lake Titicaca - This was wonderful and such a unique experience. My tour guide was excellent — bilingual, friendly & helpful, and very informative. Walking on Uros reminded me of gymnastics mats, stable but squishy. They did hard sell the artisan handicrafts, which I don’t love, but I also get that tourist souvenirs are probably a large and important revenue stream. If you’re physically up for it, the short hike on Taquile was absolutely gorgeous. At both stops there was some singing and / or dancing which I very much enjoyed.

Taquile island is great - Nice tour. First, quite touristy, to uros islands. Hard to imagine that people are really living there and not only coming to welcome the tourists. Second to Taquile island, definitely the highlight of the trip. Very relaxed, quiet and friendly island. We should have stayed there overnight instead of Puno!
