Great value for a day trip - Great food and drinks. Attentive crew. The landscape is priceless, and Yelapa is in my all-time top 10. This experience offsets the messy boarding process at Puerto Mágico.

Fun day in great company - Well organized with great entertainment. Although we were out of the port about an hour after we were supposed to head out, the experience stretched far into the evening. It was truly a jam packed day.

Great Tour - This was a GREAT tour! The staff was very friendly and helpful, just wish a bit more English had been spoken. I recommend horse-backing riding up to the falls, great way to get there & enjoy the path along the way.

It's your excursion - don't be talked out of what you want to do. - The good... Amazing price for a full day excursion, the sun, the water, the views. Nice lunch at friendly designated spot - have the fish, because it's right there! Hike to waterfall is very do-able unless you have mobility issues, forgo the quad or horse ride (at 600 pesos quite overpriced). Friendly folks on the boat, have a few drinks on the house. The bad... Started out a full 30 minutes late. No explanation. Very choppy waters, not our captain's fault, but caused some illness in some passengers, and downright dangerous as chairs were sliding around on the deck. The snorkeling is NOT for beginners - the water is deep and dark and waves were high. Pressure to keep up, to stay in the group (I have no idea how they would manage a full boat - we had maybe 25 per cent capacity and they were still struggling to keep us all together). Water was murky and hard to see fish, but there were some nice schools. If you join the snorkel group you cannot return to the boat on your own so be sure you are a confident swimmer. A lot of pressure to buy the quad or horse ride, which was expensive. You don't need it at all. The guide to walk you up goes quite fast, so be sure you can keep up, or don't... he'll come back for you. It's not a hard walk, and it's not a 45 minute walk - we did it in 20 and we're in our 60s. There may be kayaks and paddleboards attached to the boat, but you won't use them. There isn't enough time at Yelapa to go out, and the water is too rough anyway. Disappointed that, when we saw whales on the trip back, our captain did not slow or turn. He had a schedule and kept to it.

A water taxi might be the better option - Trip Advisor may have been the bad guy this time as the directions to location were not correct. That aside…. This is more of a large ferry than a catamaran that you might be expecting. The crew were great and the food service was expedient. There wasn’t any snorkeling to be had as the water was not clear but the top 24”. The second destination had a great beach in Yelapa which we were all craving as the main PV area isn’t the clearest water. That was a great stop. Some rode horses and other rented ATVs. We all saw a large sting ray that kept traversing the shore several times. I’d pass on this one and search for a smaller service or just take the water taxi to Yelapa instead.

Keep looking - Life jackets are missing clips and tied together, goggles are foggy and no fins/flippers provided. This is essentially a boat ride with screechingly loud music. The waterfall is a joke and you cannot or should not swim in its water. This trip is a waste of a day and way overpriced for its value. Save your money and find a different excursion.

Not good for young kids. - Very disorganized trip. It was schedule for 9 but didn’t leave until after 1030 after dealing with a very disorganized port. The boat is incredibly slow so most time is spent getting to and from the spots. Music was also uncomfortably loud. Trip didn’t get back until after 730 and this was not clear based on the description.

No Waterfall! - Why would you take us to a waterfall that doesn't exist. You should let people know what the status is of the waterfall during this time so that we would have the option to choose to either go, or stay at the beach. Not acceptable to have people rent ATV's, horses or even walk up to see absolutely nothing. That's actually unacceptable! I would have saved my money on the ATV and used it to buy something from a local vendor. I didn't appreciate the fact that you weren't transparent about the waterfall. For this I'm giving you a bad review. The snorkling was great and so were the people.
