Great tour- very authentic - Our tour guide, Kevin was very informative and friendly and guided us through the process of all of the options for the tacos and the sauces as well as some history of the area. We felt very comfortable with him. Kevin took several pictures of us at each stop and we provided our email to get the pictures but as of now we still have not received them.

Great experience - Jenny is knowledgeable and very informative. We visited 8 local businesses for samples. We would never have known about these places on our own.

Tacos. Tacos. And more tacos. - Kevin was our host for a 4 person tour. Quite small and intimate which allowed for leisurely walking and great stories. The food options included tacos made of beef, Al pastor, potatoes, lengua, a mole enchilada, hibiscus agua fresca, and fresh fruit popsicles, ice cream or sorbet for desserts. Good time focused on the old city part of Vallarta supporting small mom and pop restaurants. Yummy!

Delicious Tacos and a Thoughtful, Fun Tour - We had a fantastic experience on this street taco tour. Alberto was knowledgeable, easygoing, and clearly passionate about his neighborhood and the food. He shared great local history—like the origins of the town and how smoked marlin became a regional specialty—which really added to the experience. The tacos were all delicious, and it was clear he had strong connections with the vendors. They were happy to see him, and we felt welcomed at each stop. Despite the heat, he made sure we stayed comfortable and helped us cool off along the way. As someone with celiac, I really appreciated how attentive he was to my dietary needs. He took care to check ingredients. I didn’t get sick and was able to fully enjoy the tour. Overall, this was more than just a food tour—it was a great way to connect with the local culture through food, stories, and good company. Highly recommend.

Our 2nd time doing this awesome Taco tour! - We did this tour for our 2nd time with Vallarta Eats the day after we arrived, which is the best time to go. Why? Because not only is the food amazing but you have an amazing guide that gives you a great lay of the land and history of this amazing city, which is now the #2 food destination in MX behind Mexico City. Though mostly unique tacos, there's stops that are not tacos but equally unique to PV. Our guide was Karla, a spunky host with an amazing vibe and so much positive energy, you simply want to hang out with her your entire vacation! Karla also let us peruse a local vegetable stand and walked us through finding the perfect mangoes and plantains, which we took back to our B&B to cook. Come hungry, as in eat light the night before and skip breakfast (if doing the morning tour) because it is filling! Walking the city is a great way to digest as you go too. We highly recommend this tour with Vallarta Eats, as a matter of fact, all their tours are awesome.... we booked the Tasting Vallarta tour the next night as a date night without our kids and it was SPECTACULAR!

Feel like a local celebrity! - Karla was a phenomenal guide! She is extremely knowledgeable about not only the food and the area, but the history of the people. We felt like we were on tour with a celebrity - and what better way to experience the local community than with someone that everyone knows and loves?! Karla gave us a true local experience, not just a food tour! If you get a chance a request a guide, ask for Karla! She thinks of everything! It was a VERY hot day for us and she even thought to bring frozen towels to help cool us down. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our day.

Taco Tour Triumph - Alberto was just awesome. His passion about authentic food from the area was contagious. We learned so much even though we are from San Diego. Ahh the tortillas and tacos. Burrilla, who knew?! Highly recommend this tour. Make sure you arrive hungry. We’d skip having breakfast.
