A Day with Diego and Family in San Sebastien - The tour to San Sebastien del Oeste is perfect for those looking to learn more about local history and traditions on a fun trip into the Sierra Madre. Diego Chihuahua is a true entertainer and fantastic host for this trip, along with Julio the driver, and Jésus the photographer, who were great as well. The lunch prepared by chef Alex is absolutely incredible and really puts this tour above some of the others you might find. If you do go on this tour, just know that you don't have to buy any extras at the various stops. The offer is always there as you see the variety of artisanal goods, which give you options of souvenirs, but if that's not your thing just move along. The first stop at the bakery on the side of the road is a must try though. Do not sit that one out. I marked this as a family outing even though I arrived alone, as Diego makes sure that everyone knows you are his (and each other's) family for the day. It's not often you get to know all the people on your tour so well and make better connections than the usual passing conversation. As with any adventure keep an open mind and you will always have a better experience. Some things might not be perfect going to San Sebastian, but the guides and attitude of your family for the day make all the difference.

Beautiful cultural experience - Cristian (our driver) and Diego (tour guide) were wonderful. We enjoyed the historical overview of Mexico Diego provided on the way to San Sebastián and the walking tour at this beautiful town. This is my 2nd tour and my daughter and I were not disappointed. I would go again.

Amazing Experience with Tour Guide Juan Carlos visiting San Sebastian! - My husband and I absolutely LOVED this tour. Our Tour Guide, Juan Carlos, is absolutely AMAZING. He and Nellie (Driver) are the perfect pair! We learned so much about the history of San Sebastian (and Mexico as a whole) because of Juan Carlos! He is such an amazing story teller and incorporates the perfect amount of humour into the history that will stick with you. This is a longer tour of 8 hours or so and I was always entertained by what Juan Carlos was saying. The activities on this tour are perfect - a scenic drive, stop at a coffee plantation, San Sebastian, and Tequila/Mezcale tasting. I highly recommend this tour for a full day of fun and if you have Juan Carlos as your tour guide you really lucked out. San Sebastian is absolutely beautiful and refreshing. We had a delicious lunch in San Sebastian and were taken care of so well the whole time. Thank you Juan Carlos! Hope to see you again!!

San Sebastián del Oeste. The guide. - We had the team of Christian (driver) and Cherma. It truly was these two that made our whole experience amazing. The knowledge and fun that Cherma brought made it one of the best tours we have been on. To anyone that will be taking this tour, hope that you have them as it ended up way better than we were expecting. Gracious Amigos.

A fun informative excursion - Our excursion with Vallarta Adventures SAN Sebastian was excellent. Our tour guide Franco was very informative and friendly. The lunch was excellent and Franco ensured that my wife’s food allergies were considered and that she also had an excellent lunch. The town was exactly what we were hoping to see with its old Mexican charm. The tequila tour was one of the best we’ve been to. The bakery we stopped at was incredible. It was a very fun day and we would highly recommend it.

San Sebastián, da lil town that gives its all! - Our travel 2 San Sebastian started on time in our van of 14 adventurers & 4 Vallarta Adventure employees. Marylou, our guide, wuz full of info, made sure we were always accounted for & taken care of. The ONLY disappointment on our way 2 our destination, wuz that the halfway stop @ the coffee & pastry shop wuz not open! There wuz military presence upon entry In San Seb. Which made us feel very safe! We stopped @ a family run coffee business, museum, handmade silver jewelry shop, purchasing homemade peanut brittle, town centre & finally a family run tequila distillery. In the middle of all this we ate a DELISH lunch provided by V.A.!! Back in PV 5pmish. XCELLENT excursion. Thank you to Marylou, Daniela & staff! Good runners/hiking shoes recommended, lots of walking on on uneven cobblestone! f&a. Ontario, Canada. ;0),

Disappointing - This tour was slightly disappointing for us. Mostly, it was because of the ongoing construction in the main square which did not allow us to truly enjoy the the place. Also, we were not quite prepared for the cobblestone walkways which made it difficult to walk at times, especially if you have any back issues and so forth. The tours along the way to this destination were very interesting and worthwhile (tequila distillery and coffee farm). Because of the recent turmoil in the Puerto Vallarta area, we went through 3 military checkpoints on the way to San Sebastian del Oeste. It was a little unnerving but left us feeling safe should anything erupt.

Avoid , town blocked with remodeling - The town is completely torn up, nothing but heavy equipment. Maybe next year completed. Had been there 5 yrs ago and wanted to revisit.
