Marietas Island is... - Marietas Island is gorgeous. We saw whales! Didn't even have to pay extra to go whale watching. Not sure that I would recommend the snorkeling as the water is not that clear. But the rest of it; the ride, the sights, the staff, and the food! Totally recommend!

Fun way to spend a day - Very fun trip. If you want to do hidden beach it is best to let them know in advance so you can reserve your slot. It is 1, 000 pesos per person. The are 2 small charges you will have before boarding the boat. There is lots of shade available on boat. They fed us free breakfast and lunch. Both were good. Takes about 3 hours to get to the islands from pv. We were pretty much the only ones on the boat who spoke English but he translated almost everything. They will try to sell you an eco tour for 200 pesos. This was the only time I saw people get of at Playa nopalera. But they could have taken people to do that while we were at hidden beach. They will take pics of you as you board boat and print them and sell them to you for 5 bucks later. They take other pics during the day and sell you digital copies for 25 bucks. We got both. They do ask for tips at the end but I was happy to do so si ce 8 had a great time. No alcohol till the way back due to liability. Very fun time just wish the boat was faster. Everyone was super friendly and the open bar service was top notch.

Mariettas Snorkelling - The snorkelling area could have been bigger. There were too many people so eceryone kept bumping into each other. There could have been more time spent snorkelling as well. There was plenty of time as there were 3 or 4 other trips leaving the boat (i.e. Hidden Beach, Eco-tours. It wasn't clear to me when I booked my trip that these side trips were not included in the original cost. The experience was still fun though!

Try another company not worth the money - Everything is extra. The booking without the private tour is supposed to be inclusive, but we never received a meal ticket. The tour guides and boat operators do not review safety protocols or are equipped with first aid at all. This would not mean a lot to me as I acknowledge there’s risk with anything. But the fact that I was asked if I was in a certain spot when I got stung by a jellyfish would indicate a warning would be fair to expect.

A long boat ride - The boat left the dock with one engine workings and the trip instead of taking 2 hours, it took 5 hours to delete the last photo once we got to the island it was too late to do activities, so we return back home, so it's like A8 hour boat ride. The owner met us at the dock when we got back. He refunded all of our money.

Disappointment!!!! - Boat Shamballa II broke down almost immediately of departure, captain decided to continue. A 1:45 trip to Islands turned in to 5 hour trip. Boat was being towed by a small panga, did not snorkel m, kayaking or paddle boarding, it took almost 4 hours to get back to port. We did not get a reimbursement because we booked trough TripAdvisor. What a shame!!! Wasted ONE day. Do not take this tour.
