Well worth the experience! - Such a great adventure. At first my son and I weren't so sure if it was going to be too touristy, but they did such a great job of entertaining everyone on board. The trip is loaded with surprise entertainment and everything is thought through super well. The staff was great! Highly recommend doing this one of your days in Puerto Vallarta!

Awesome way to spend the day! - We've been loyal fans of Vallarta Adventures for years, and our recent Day at Majahuitas was no exception. The experience was once again exceptional - unique, entertaining, and meticulously organized. A heartfelt thanks to the outstanding crew of Boat VIII: Chai Mervi, Omar Heriberto, Alejandro Andrik, and Barraza. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and commitment to guest satisfaction made the day truly memorable. They ensured every guest felt safe, welcomed, and thoroughly taken care of.

Nice Chill Day - This was such a nice trip! My wife and I went on this excursion and it was the perfect mix of fun and relaxing. The boat ride to the beach was great, especially if you're like me and love being on boats in general. In my opinion the best seat on the boat is on the front; I got splashed a few times from the waves which felt great to combat the heat.
Once at the beach, I was actually (pleasantly) surprised that the boat landed right on the beach and we just walked down a ramp to get onto the beach; I'd read quite a few reviews that mentioned having to swim to shore so that's what I was expecting.
We didn't order much food other than the French fries, which were a little expensive but super tasty so no complaints there. And then we were assigned our own private little seating area with some of the comfiest couches I've ever sat on--the couches were way comfier than the cruise beds! We both had some fun swimming in the ocean, and then we did some kayaking before just kicking back and enjoying the rest of our stay.
Some pointers: if you're going on this excursion while on a cruise, the port fees will be waived so you don't need to worry about that. We didn't know that so we had exchanged some of our USD for pesos to pay, but then it turned out to be unnecessary. Also, it might've just been the time of year we went (late April), but this area really isn't great for snorkeling. I brought my own snorkel gear in hopes of using it, but the water was too murky to do so. Didn't affect my enjoyment of the day at all, though! I still would highly recommend going on this fun day trip.

Great beach - Headline pretty much says it all. And the boat ride is really nice. Not much more to say besides that. I highly recommend it.

Catamaran Cruise, Beach & Snorkeling/Puerto Vallarta & Majahuitas Beach - We booked this excursion on our Royal Caribbean cruise-it's called "Catamaran Cruise, Beach & Snorkeling" it was absolutely incredible! The yacht was gorgeous and the staff was the best we have experienced! They totally spoiled us with booze & the most delicious food from fruit in the morning, shrimp tacos', and cheese platter in the afternoon. The sail over from Puerta Vallarta was stunning. Enjoyable snorkeling off the beach then beach time. This excursion is truly a party for your senses!!! Highly recommend...we are cruising April, 2024 and will defiantly be returning! P.S. there is a special guest visitor on the boat!

It's not for everyone - It is a very nice beach club, here are some comments
Good things:
- This super nice, very very nice place
- On the beach you can paddle and kayak, which is included.
-The boat leaves you on the beach, so you don't have to get wet at all-
- They accept payments with TC
Bad things:
- You have to pay a fee for using the port $2usd per person
- The boat staff, especially the bartender, was very rude, we asked for a glass of water, and he threw it at us so rudely that it was better not to order anything else.
- The appointment is at 11am, but getting to the beach takes almost 2 hours!
- The food is extremely expensive!, like a hamburger costs $20usd.
- It is very boring, outside of the activities I mentioned above, there is nothing else to do, so for the children there is not much or anything to do.
- The banana is only included for people who take a tour on another boat, but for those of us who go on a beach day, it is not included.

Very long, crowded and largely unpleasant day - I've been on just about all of VA's trips and this was my least favorite. It wasn't completely terrible - I just wouldn't do it again nor recommend it over their other many great "adventures."
I was initially drawn to the relatively late start (nice to sleep in and not have to rush out to an 8am departure) and opportunity for a chill change of scenery!
So you get a very long round trip on a basic catamaran sitting in plastic chairs with extremely loud non stop music and drinks served by the crew. No food. No narration. No entertainment. Just blasting music (don't sit near the speakers if you can help it).
You get to a relatively small and very crowded beach (on the day of our trip at least) and are dropped off. "We'll be back to get you at 5pm!"
There were several big VA tour boats including ours in and out, a variety of large private boats (one of which blasted more non stop music so loudly that it entirely drowned out the more chill music of the beach club) parked just off shore all day which become the primary "view" and a variety of day trippers dropped in and out by pangas.
You are next assigned to a beach club table which is relatively nice and given a menu from which you will be paying for everything at fairly expensive prices for the entire day. A tiny bowl of around 10 chips and guacamole for 1-2 at most cost us around $18. Beers, cocktails, flavored waters are similarly expensive. We ended up spending more at this little "restaurant bar" for 4 people than we spent for the tickets for this "all inclusive" day. The description indicated that beer and flavored water was included - we didn't see this anywhere and were charged for all the beverages we consumed.
When we asked the hostess about our supposedly included lunch - she motioned dismissively to a back area with not very comfortable looking seating to which we could go get and eat our "buffet" if we really wanted when called (as a prior group was already there in a long line)....but the implication was obvious that the food, drink and service would be far superior where we were -- we just had to pay for it all.
We were never "called" for the buffet or anything else - nobody approached us the entire day to invite us to activities, assist with direction or beach chair acquisition or anything. Very uninvolved staff.
We went on our own to the buffet, stood in a long line and got some food. It was just ok. They were out of the pasta....they were out of the dessert...no drinks. Some who went to it later reported that the pasta and dessert were replenished later but we didn't bother going back.
We next tried to go to the beach but all the chairs/lounges there were taken. We found one empty couch but others of the many guests had left dirty diapers on it (YUCK!) -- clearly not VA's fault but it just speaks again to the fact that there are a LOT of different people here who are not on this tour and with whom you are sharing the space. We asked for and were given snorkel stuff....but you really couldn't see anything interesting so that lasted around 15 minutes. We didn't bother with a kayak or paddle board as the small beach area was so over crowded with parked boats that it was difficult and not particularly pleasant to navigate....it's a small space with no really "walking/hiking" opportunities....
The "waterfall" is fake - you can clearly see the hoses taped to the wall creating the image....
The prominently displayed banana ride is not included on this tour - apparently only some there VA tour can use it
So we essentially sat there for hours - drinking expensive drinks - and waiting to get back to our plastic chairs on a long boat ride back with more blasting music.
I'd never do it again and was relieved when it was over.

Lousy experience leaves much to be desired - I don't recommend it all to the races, it seems that they urge you to leave!!! Only 30 minutes to enjoy Majahuitas, and economical is not. I would not book with you again leaves a bad taste in your mouth!!!
