A wonderfully fun and informative chocolate making workshop. - What a great experience!!! I really enjoyed my workshop with the fellows from ChocoMuseo. The history lesson was very informative and I liked how they paired it with the various chocolate drinks from the Mayan, Aztec and European cultures. I already had chocolate making experience but they taught me several things I didn’t know. The truffle making part of the workshop was fun and very “hands on.” If you’re interested in learning about chocolate I highly recommend ChocoMuseo!!!

Fantastic experience! - Rod was funny, engaging, and a great teacher. He made the experience so much fun. It was much better than any of the excursions from the cruise ship. FYI - keep in mind that local time is one earlier than cruise ship time so plan ahead on the timing.

Chocolate lover's dream! - There's only so much time I can spend at beachside or poolside during a two-week stay in Puerto Vallarta, so we book activities and excursions. A class at the Chocomuseo has been on our repeat list for several years already! Wander through the free museum and learn a bit about that item the Aztecs called "the food of the gods." Sign up to make chocolates, and/or truffles, which you will get to take with you. A newer addition is a mole class, that rich smoky sauce with a bit of unsweetened chocolate. We've never been disappointed by the instructors nor the delectable treats!

A Sweet and Memorable Experience! - We recently had the pleasure of attending a chocolate bon bon making class with Rodrigo, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our trip! We reserved a weekday session, which meant we had the entire class to ourselves—a truly personal experience. Rodrigo was an incredible instructor. His passion for chocolate was evident as he guided us through the fascinating history of this beloved treat. We learned not just the techniques of making beautiful bon bons but also the art of chocolate tasting and pairing. Every step was engaging and informative. What made this experience even more special was the intimate setting. With just the two of us, we had plenty of time to ask questions and get hands-on with the chocolate-making process. My husband couldn’t stop smiling—it was his favorite activity of the trip! The joy of creating something delicious together, combined with Rodrigo's expertise, made for a memorable afternoon. We left with a box of our beautiful bon bons and a newfound appreciation for chocolate. If you’re looking for a fun, educational, and delicious experience, I highly recommend this class! Thank you, Rodrigo, for such a sweet day!

The best part was... - The best part was definitely the hands-on chocolate workshop. Making my own chocolate was such a unique experience, and of course, tasting everything along the way was a huge

Fun and Delicious Experience at Choco Museo - We had a fantastic time at the Choco Museo taking the truffles and French bonbon class. Our instructor, Zoar, was absolutely wonderful — knowledgeable, patient, and made the class both educational and really fun. She explained the chocolate-making process clearly and made sure everyone felt comfortable and involved. The class was very hands-on, and we loved getting to create our own chocolates while learning professional techniques. Everything was well organized, and the final treats were delicious. This is such a great activity for couples, friends, or anyone who loves chocolate. We highly recommend it!

Fantastic chocolate class - My friend and I did the chocolate and truffles class on Jan 30, 2026 with Zoar. It was fantastic. I bake (at Christmas I make about 1000 cookies and 50 loaves of pumpkin bread—to give to senior center and family). I also put up preserves and make candy. AND I learned several new tricks. Plus the chocolate we made are delicious. Zoar’s chocolate and preparation techniques were extensive. I could not recommend this more highly.
