Zip lining, Mule rides, and ATV rides OH MY! - If you like a little adrenaline rush ziplining is for you! I was a little apprehensive at first being afraid of heights, but the crew of people guiding you make you feel completely safe and are extremely accommodating. Hiking up the mountain to go to each zip line course is very exhausting so be prepared to workout a bit. Once we ziplined to the bottom we got to ride Mules to the top and it was amazing. After we jumped on atvs and zipped through the mountains across bridges and we were taken to waterfalls. Everything was beautiful and well worth any money spent. Everyone working there was extremely nice and accommodating. If you’re in Vallarta and you like adventure come here you won’t be disappointed.

Adventurous & Fun Time!’n - Fees: * ~$500 USD for family of 3 for a combo excursion of 11 course zip line & side by side UTV ride Length: 6.5 hours * 10 min taxi ride from hotel to excursion pickup * 45 min drive from excursion pickup to excursion site * 2 hours of zip lining * 2 hours of UTV riding * 1.5 hrs return drive from excursion site to hotel Atmosphere: Fun, adventurous, & chill. The staff was lively. Highlights: * Horseback Riding down from zip lines. It was a nice surprise. * The waterfall & bar stops on the ATV rides were nice surprises too! * They have an onsite restaurant. I didn’t eat there as I wasn’t hungry but my family did & they both rated their meals 10/10. They did say it’s not a gourmet restaurant but for the type of restaurant it was good. * Lastly, there was a free tequila tasting available at the end of excursion. Cautions: * The hikes to the different zip lines can be daunting especially if you’re not in shape or have other health problems that limit physical activity. * There are 2-3 places along the UTV routes where you must go under pouring water or large mud puddles. If you don’t want to get wet & muddy take this into consideration. * You can get into the river & swim when you stop at the waterfall. Make sure to have on swimwear so you can swim if that is of interest to you. * Your transportation back to your hotel is via a large open bus. There may be multiple stops on your way back that can prolong your arrival time back to hotel. Plan for later activities and don’t schedule anything shortly after. (Took us 1.5 hrs to get back to hotel). Memorable Part of Experience: Creating life long memories with family!!! This was a great excursion!

Amazing day filled with great memories. - What an amazing day filled with adventure, lots of laughs, and a tonne of fun. The razor tour was fantastic. My 12 year old son and I couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces. The zip line tours of 10 different zip lines cross crossing the canyon and river below was so much fun fun. I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff at Canopy River, professional and funny, patient and calm in all situations. It was totally worth doing the razor and zip line. Oh I just about forgot about one of the best parts—the ride back up out of the canyon on a mule (we liked to say that we rode on a Mexican burro! When else are you going to get the chance to say that!) The memories my son and I will have are priceless.

Thrilling Adventure and Top-Notch Hospitality! - We did the full experience at Canopy River—ziplining, the RZR ride over the Jorullo Bridge, and the mule ride up the mountain—and it was an absolute blast from start to finish. The zipline course was thrilling with incredible views, and riding an RZR across the longest suspension bridge in Latin America was such a rush! The mule ride added a fun, unexpected twist to the adventure. Our guides were friendly, fun, and made the whole day even better. They even snapped great photos throughout the day, which you can purchase afterward. But what really stood out was their kindness at the end of the tour. My kids were melting down from the long day, and the staff arranged a special ride back to our hotel in downtown Puerto Vallarta instead of making us wait for the group shuttle. That level of service made a huge difference, and I was so grateful. Highly recommend Canopy River for families, thrill seekers, and anyone who wants an unforgettable day in Puerto Vallarta. Five stars!

Absolutely Amazing Excursion! - Absolutely amazing!!! We've been zip lining before but this was the best!!! We did the Razor vs Atv because we had 4 people in our family. We ziplined first and the views were spectacular!! Wish I would have brought a go pro camera or something because the pictures don't do it justice.

Horrible Experience – Disrespectful Manager Edgar - I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Canopy River Adventures was so awful that I feel I need to warn others. I booked a package that included a racer quad ride and a zip line excursion. Before booking, I did my homework and saw the weight limit was listed at 245 lbs. I weigh 280 lbs with an athletic build, so naturally I wanted to confirm. The hotel vendor, Avelina Romero, assured me the limit was actually 260 lbs and that I would be fine. I even asked the Canopy River driver on the way to the park, and he also said I’d have no problem. With two different company representatives telling me it was fine, I went ahead with the tour. When I arrived, however, the manager Edgar was immediately rude, dismissive, and condescending. Instead of calmly addressing the situation, he gave me an attitude as if I was being a nuisance for even bringing it up. He flat-out told me, “That’s not my problem, take it up with the hotel vendor,” and made no effort whatsoever to help me. His nonchalant, smug manner and the way he spoke down to me was insulting. I even offered to do a different activity instead of the zip line — something to salvage the experience since I had paid for the full package — but Edgar refused. There was no flexibility, no understanding, and certainly no respect. Because of this, I was forced to sit around for nearly two hours while my entire party went on the excursion without me. Imagine spending your money on an adventure, only to be humiliated, dismissed, and left behind because the manager can’t be bothered to handle customer service properly. And here’s the most telling part: once they found out I was leaving a review, suddenly they tried to offer me another excursion, the Mirador de Cristal. But of course, Edgar didn’t even have the professionalism to come speak to me himself — he sent someone else to make the offer. That wasn’t genuine customer service. That was damage control, and it made his disrespect even more obvious. This is not just about a weight limit. I understand safety rules exist. What I cannot accept is being lied to by multiple company representatives and then being treated with such arrogance and belittlement by Edgar. A competent manager would’ve shown empathy, offered an alternative immediately, or at the very least treated me with basic respect. Instead, Edgar ruined what should have been a fun, memorable day. If you value honesty, professionalism, and respectful treatment, I strongly urge you to avoid Canopy River Adventures. There are many other companies in Puerto Vallarta that actually care about their customers — this one clearly does not.
