Great way to see the rainforest and learn about the history if Puerto Rico. - My friends and I didn’t rent a car when we visited San Juan but wanted to get to the rainforest. This was a great experience for us to do that. We were in a group of 9 which was perfect. We learned a lot about the history and were able to experience the views of the rainforest without having to deal with the driving or navigating. Everyone in our group thought we were going to get a small walk in as the tour descriptions mentions a hike and some reviews mentioned a 20 minute walk of sorts. Our tour guide wasn’t going to bring us on any sort of hike until we asked, so we did end up getting a short walk on a trail, but you do spend most of the time riding in the van. This was still a great way to see the rainforest and I would highly recommend it if you don’t want to drive there yourself but want to see it. If you want a short walk, I would ask your tour guide at the beginning of the day if that’s in the plan.

Great trip! - This was a fantastic experience. Louis our tour guide had tons of both practical and fun information about Puerto Rico, El Yunque, native plants, etc. Nothing felt rushed, yet nothing else dragged on too long. The hikes were not long or overly strenuous - down some grades/steps and up others - but could be tough if you have mobility issues. Overall it was just what I was hoping for!

Rainforest tour without the waterslide/jump - Isaac was awesome! Took us to the best spots in the rainforest. We climbed up the path for about 20 min to get some great pics then we went to the 98 step tower to get more great pics. We found out a lot about Puerto Rico’s history, vegetation and insects along the way. We stopped at a watering hole to cool off and swim if we wanted and then ended with a PuertoRican meal at a local place. Nice tour!

Good tour if you want to... - Good tour if you want to see a bit of the rainforest but you’re not feeling too adventurous. Enjoyed our tour guide and the island history. Sights from the tower are impressive, lunch stop was good. You spend most of the time in the shuttle.

Weird in a not good way - For $85 a person I expect my tour guide to know what he's saying and be able to provide factual answers. This felt like a random guy taking us around to his favorite smoke spots. We did half of a hike (no views) to a random cave that he claimed was known as the "den of the chupacabra" It was literally just a small hole in the woods. We then climbed the observation tower which was pretty but we only spent like 10 minutes there and didn't have time to peruse the gift shop which sucks because this tour also skips the el yunque visitor center and gift shop. We then went to a swimming hole (this was the biggest joke of all!) The tour says waterfall and swimming hole- we envisioned a beautiful rainforest swimming hole... Nope! We got a graffiti covered bridge and rocks- I've seen similar areas in the middle of nowhere USA. Lunch (not included in the ticket price) was at a road side stand and our tour guide apparently also works there(?) he literally clocked in and worked a shift while we were eating our street food. Only positive about this tour is pickup and drop off directly at the hotel. I don't know if I'm an overly sensitive environmental scientist but he also picked a leaf off a tree with a snail on it and passed it around to the group and pulled leaves off of a tree to have us smell them- I just feel like that's poor practice in a national forest.
