The beauty of PR - We felt privileged to have Angel as our guide. He educated himself in so much Puerto Rican history and shared so much knowledge with us. He was also extremely warm and friendly. We felt like we made a true friend in just a matter of hours. We toured the Yunque with him first then he dropped us off at the beach for a few hours we later on got picked up and taken to kayak at night. We had a great time!

Great experience, bring bug spray for kayaking - The trio tour was a great experience for the whole day. It gave us a taste of many of the biggest attractions of Puerto Rico without the hassle of planning it ourselves. Rafael was an excellent tour guide which enhanced the experience even more. The pickup location was very convenient and nothing felt rushed throughout the experience. Make sure that you bring bug spray for the kayaking if you are prone to getting bug bites. I did not and I regretted it.

Waterfalls - Beautiful drive and fantastic view. Some beautiful waterfalls to climb if you dare! A tower had the best view from the top. Not a bad climb although it looks daunting from the bottom.

Beautiful Rainforest, River, and Estuary - We very much enjoyed the view from the lookout tower, the short nature hike to the river (my young adult daughters LOVED swimming in the river) and the light rains in the RAINforest. :) We would not have needed as much time at Luquillo Beach but the shops/kiosks were fun to visit. USE BUG SPRAY for the bio beach kayaking. Great trip out--too crowded with too many tour groups on the way back but a very fun evening despite the bug bites. Snacks/water after are a nice touch. It was a long day, but would do again.

This is an all day... - This is an all day excursion. We were picked up at 9:12am and didn’t get back until around 9:30pm. It really operates like two separate tours. The first is through El Yunque and then we were dropped off at an area near the water with many shops and restaurants around 2:30. We were picked up again at just after 5pm for the Bio Bay. For the El Yunque portion our driver was excellent and knowledgeable about the area. We stopped initially at a roadside stand to get smoothies with fresh local fruit and they were amazing. We got off the bus in several locations to hike and take pictures. If you want in depth exploration I’d pick a different excursion. The Bio Bay was fun but due to light pollution and a bright moon. When this happens they cover you in the canoe with a tarp to splash the water in order to see the lights. This was a little underwhelming but the canoe trip was fun. There are several tour groups that all do this at the same time so lots of people. If I was doing this again I’d probably break up the trip as it made for a long day. The Bio Bay guides were good but it wasn’t as personal as the El Yunque tour.

12 Hour Journey - This was a great experience, the daytime guides are super knowledgeable and friendly. I only wish there was more to do at El Yunque. It felt like the drive was longer than the actual stay there, feels like not a lot to do there compared to all the videos I saw regarding it. I do not recommend the night time kayak unless you have done kayaking before (or at least a good swimmer/not scared of the dark 😂). We went during the down season so the planktons were not as visible as you would think, but still was a fun experience. Overall it was a great experience, Luquillo was great, and I would go with these guys again.

Staff was great - save your money and rent a car - Rent a car and go see the rain forest on your own time, the beach break portion had lots of great restaurant's and shops- the beach was filthy - lots of trash....the bio bay canoeing was about 20 minutes there and a total of 15 minutes to see the glowing plankton which I included covering your head with a tarp with other canoe guest....not worth $300 total for the two Of us- if it was half the price, it be worth the time. The transportation and knowledgeable staff were amazing!! Save yourself some money and do this excursion on your own time.

Waste. More time in rainforest or start later. - Avoid this company. The tour company tried jamming two trips together at the expense of our “ TRIO” of adventures. We signed up for a day hiking in El Yunque but we only did 2 roadside stops and then a short trail to a river to swim. Then instead of seeing more things or a decent hike, we got left at a low end strip of tourist food stalls and restaurants for FOUR HOURS. Loquillo Beach is average but lots of garbage everywhere. Most of the trip that was active was fine. Raphael was an OK guide. But we were left for 4 hours at Loquillo Beach in the rain doing nothing. After lunch we had a walk the length of the beach and then had to sit for hours waiting while it rained and the surf was too rough to swim. The biobay kayak was good. Overall, beware of Peniel Tours. They don’t have their act together.
