It also serves as a starting point for various hiking trails and attractions within the forest. Visitors can spot the Puerto Rican parrot here. Facilities include restrooms, a gift/souvenir shop, a snack bar, and a rest area.
• Catarata La Coca - La Coca is a magnificent 85-foot (26-meter) waterfall located just off the road leading into El Yunque. The lush greenery, diverse flora, and the sound of cascading water create a tranquil and picturesque setting.
• El Yunque National Forest - Embark on a charming low-impact trail that may end (weather permitting) with a refreshing swim in a local river spot. (Optional)
• Junglequí - Enjoy a refreshing dip in an untouched river surrounded by nature in the rainforest. Relax, float, and appreciate the canopy of trees above and the clear skies. It’s a truly peaceful area for meditation and enjoying the serene environment.
• Bano Grande - This is a man-made pool located in the heart of El Yunque Rainforest Park. The pool’s waters come directly from La Mina Rivers. For safety reasons, swimming is not permitted. It is a scenic area with lush vegetation, a bridge, cobblestone walkways, and a stone dam. The architecture is impressive, and the pool is 18 feet deep.
