Great ziplines! - We’ve done a lot of ziplines in the Caribbean and this is a really fun one. There are 8 ziplines all fun (and safe). I particularly enjoyed the last few which are longer and higher. I highly recommend stopping by the garden afterwards to see and touch the wildlife. Highly recommend.

It was very... - It was very professionally organized. There was some climbing involved but not too much. I felt the staff were well trained and I felt safe during the activity.

Canopy Zipline Adventure, Thrilling!! - This is a must do for your time in Puerto Plata. We booked this adventure through our cruise line, the Celebrity Eclipse. This is an 8 stage zipline, absolutely thrilling - love the highest/longest stage where at the very end, a man on horseback gallops up to you and grabs your ankle, pulling you the rest of the way! Be aware of your fitness level as there are a few graded walks between a few of the lines, so be prepared for some walking. Well organized, professional and super helpful staff. I would love to do this again, we've done several ziplines, in New Zealand, Alaska, but this was the most exciting! Highly recommend.

Great time! Challenging! Would do this again! - We had a great time! Be prepared for lots of walking with stairs, uneven uphill paths, etc. We are 2 out of shape 60+ year olds. We have done other zip lines before and found these challenging for us, but we completed the course & loved it! There are 8 lines, number 5 being the highest point. It was only my husband & myself so we were able to go at our pace. The guides were very professional. Equipment was in good condition. They assign a photographer to your group who did a great job. The cost of the photos was confusing, but I figured out it was $60/USD per person. We are supposed to receive them via email by 10:30 tonight, so we have not seen the actual results, yet. A couple things to know before you go. The walk from the ship to the pickup point is far! They are outside the port area, far enough it is difficult to see them from the gates. Turn left & keep walking past everyone else. It rained while we were on the lines. We kept going. I say this to point out that decent shoes are required. The paths get slippery when wet. Also bring lots of cash for extras. Photos, handmade artwork, taxi back into the port because you will be exhausted- lol. They do provide transportation to/from the port, but outside the gates. They were able to accommodate us when we were ready to return to the ship earlier than scheduled. We would do this excursion again!

Amazing experience!! - This was an amazing excursion, we did 8 zip lines with breathtaking views! All the guides were friendly and took care of us well. After we had the opportunity to explore the farm, animals, garden and have a drink. This did not feel like a tourist hot spot which was what we wanted. We were picked up from Amber Cove, you do have to walk about 15 mins from where you get off the boat and walk out of the port completely but they laid out instructions on where to meet very clearly beforehand. I would definitely recommend, this was our favourite excursion! We will be visiting this place again.

Nice views and rides on a very difficult course. Not a typical tree to tree zipline - The transportation to and from the park was on time and good. The grounds, operators and condition of the zip lines were excellent. Now comes the not so great parts; the harnesses and helmets had a terrible smell, dirty and moldy, as they are kept in an out building which must not be watertight. Also this is not a traditional zipline course which goes from tree to tree but rather goes from platform to platform with alot of walking up paths and stairs to reach each platform. It is not pleasant and enjoyable as two other zipline courses we've done before, it is truly a VERY challenging course due to all the walking, sometimes uphill, and then climbing up the platforms. The terrible smell of the helmets and harnesses add an additional challenge to the excursion. I would not recommend this excursion to anyone unless they are in very good physical shape and are looking for a challenging workout.

Fun Ziplines But Not Worth the Frustration - The ziplines were fun with great views of the countryside. The 2 stars comes from multiple factors. First, the drive to and from the cruise port takes longer than the actual zip lining (< 1 hour). Second, the company overbooked the day we were on so we had to wait almost an hour after arriving for the prior group to finish before we could begin getting gear on. Even after they were off, it took another 30 minutes to actually get on the line because more than 50 people were waiting to start at the same time. Lastly, based on the time duration estimate when I booked, we expected about 2 hours to enjoy the other things the port had to offer like the lazy river. We arrived back so late we had to head immediately back to the ship. The fun of the zip lines was overshadowed by the frustration of the entire experience. CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE TO DO FOR THIS PORT.
