Amazing Puerto Plata City Tour !! - Tony of Tony Tours arranged an AMAZING tour of Puerto Plata City Tour. Caesar did a series of excellent tours where we got to experience a taste of in depth history of Puerto Plata which included a visit to the Church of San Felipe, Fortaleza San Felipe, built by the Spanish in the 16th century, We visited a manufacturer of authentic Larimar Stones which polished and made incredible larimar and amber jewelry. Caesar took us to Espigon Cigar Shop, a local cigar manufacturer where we learned about how the best quality cigars are made. His tour also included a tour of the history of Macorix rum factory. At Del Oro organic chocolate factory We learned the process for making chocolate from harvesting of coconut bean to the production of organic chocolate candy, soaps, facial creams, cocoa butters. Caesar also took us to Umbrella Street as well as the very beautiful Pasea de Dona Blanca. Of course Caesar took us shopping for souvenirs. All in all, it was an AMAZING day, which I give a rating of 10 out of ten! Call Tony Tours to arrange a spectacular City Tour of Puerto Plata!

Great tour - Our guide was terrific.He showed us all the sites and more.Our visit to the beach was excellent. E&J Taxi we’re on time Great time.Also introduced us to Presidente. Elian Sosa was the best.

A busy day. - We went with family and it was really nice. Our guide spoke French and English. Joseph very friendly. We made several visits and it was very interesting. To appreciate the history of the fort it is important to have the earphones that explain in French what happened and see the relics. The museum of amber is interesting, chocolate was good on the other hand to buy this one is expensive. The cable car was broken so we didn’t do that. A busy day to see a city and its people. Thank you Joseph also for your courtesy and your driving on the road.

Fun experience - We called Tony at the last minute because our other tour fell through. Within an hour he had someone pick us up at our villa and give us a customized and personal tour of puerto plata. Jose was a delightful and informative tour guide. He played paparazzi for us and indulged our whims. He was wonderful! Tour was interesting and had some fun spots for photos opportunities. Sad the cable car was closed as well as the Christ statue. But overall a nice excursion.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! - All of it was great! The guides were great!! Very knowledgeable, safe, and very personable!! Will definitely take tours through Tony Tours again when traveling to Puerto Plata!!

Puerto Vallarta walking tour - On a cruise and took this tour. If you have no problem walking, this is a great tour. Lots of great spots to see including the hotel where Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton had a liaison

Disappointing tour . - The city tour was rather disappointing. We were expecting to visit more places and to hear more interesting stories about Dominican culture. The only valuable part was the visit to Mount Isabel de Torres with the cable car. To be noted that the cable car ticket was not included and that the guide tried to convince us not to stop because of the potential long queue. The rest of the tour was a series of stops to a number of super touristic attractions like Ron factory, chocolate factory and amber factory. All of these places were full of crew ship people and the only clear intention was to make us spend the maximum amount of money. We had a lunch break at the recommended restaurant that was super noisy, expensive and the food was pretty bad. We don't recommend.

Driver no-show - Getting back on the ship after 2 hours waiting in the hot sun. We called several times but the driver never showed. We let our travel agent know as well
