Explore Like a Local with Barney! - We had an incredible experience with Barney from Dominican Atlantic Transfer Tours! He took us on an unforgettable private tour that included horseback riding through the countryside and even in the ocean. It was such a unique and beautiful experience.
Barney went above and beyond throughout the entire day. Not only was he an excellent guide, but he also became our personal photographer, making sure to capture amazing photos and memorable moments for us along the way. He gave us a fantastic tour of the city, shared the history of the area and its people, and made the experience feel personal, informative, and authentic.
One thing we especially appreciated was that Barney took us to the places where the locals go, which meant authentic experiences, great food, and the best prices instead of tourist traps. Having it as a private tour made the day even more special, allowing us to move at our own pace and truly enjoy each stop without feeling rushed.
We ended the day with a delicious meal at a restaurant and relaxing time at a quiet, beautiful beach. It was the perfect way to wrap up an already amazing day.

Amazing! - Barney was amazing. We did horseback riding and ATVs. We also did a city tour and shopping. The day we spent with Barney was the highlight of our vacation. My boys will remember this forever. They loved the ATVs!!! I cannot recommend him enough!!!!

Awesome - I reached out to Barney about an excursion. He sent me a list, and we chose the buggies. When I tell you he was great to work with. He partnered us with Alexander the Great 😊. He was so patient with us. He was very informative and allowed us time to explore. I can’t express enough how we enjoyed ourselves. I definitely recommend these guys….top notch!!!

GREAT FAMILY DAY! - We did a private family tour with buggies and a city tour during our cruise stop. There were 7 adults and 2 kids in our group, and everything was handled perfectly from start to finish.
Barney was extremely responsive from our very first messages — almost 9 months in advance. I was a bit hesitant to book that early, but it ended up working out great.
Upon arrival, the team was very attentive, courteous, and right on time. Our main guide for the day, Paulino, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even better.
We really enjoyed the buggy portion as well as walking around the city. Afterward, they took us to a beautiful beach where we had lunch, which was a perfect way to wrap up the day.
They were also very flexible and accommodating, customizing the tour based on what we wanted to do. They also took lots of photos and videos and sent to us at no additional charge. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend them.

Highly recommend - If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic, this tour is an absolute MUST! We booked both the buggy adventure and the city tour, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our entire trip.
The buggy ride was pure adrenaline and so much fun—driving through the rugged trails, splashing through mud, and taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. It felt like the perfect mix of adventure and sightseeing. The guides made sure everyone felt safe while still letting us enjoy every second of the experience.
The city tour was just as amazing, but in a completely different way. It gave us a chance to truly experience the culture, history, and everyday life of the Dominican Republic. From the local shops to the historical spots, everything felt authentic and thoughtfully planned. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate—it made all the difference.
What really stood out was how organized and welcoming the entire team was. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly, and you could tell they genuinely care about giving you a memorable experience.
If you’re looking for a mix of adventure and culture, this company delivers it all. We would 100% book again and recommend it to anyone visiting. Such an unforgettable experience!

Fantastic Experience! - We booked a tour with Barney during our day in the Dominican Republic and had such a great time!
We started with an ATV ride through the countryside, which was super fun, then got to relax at a beautiful beach with the warmest water. We also did a walking city tour with a private guide, which was really cool and gave us a better feel for the area.
We were even able to find some amazing rum, coffee, and chocolate to bring home, which made it even better!
Honestly, the whole day was amazing—we just wish we had more time! Would definitely book with Barney again if we come back to the Dominican Republic.

10 out of 10 - Amazing experience with Barney and Crew - We had an awesome experience with this company. They were on time, patient, and super friendly. My mother in law had to bring her wheel chair, they accommodated us and did all the pushing, loading and unloading of the chair at every stop. She was very impressed with how helpful and nice they were to her and our group. We got to do all the things we wanted to do and more.. Would 10 out of 10 recommend Barney and his crew for any tour you do at Amber Cove.
