Girls trip on steroids! Take your Bestie on this trip and you will have a great time. - We booked this as a girls trip. I cannot even tell you how amazing the whole day was with mega adventures. Just the safety and expertise that went into doing the preliminary with us was excellent. The whole day itself was the best adventure. From the time they pick you up at the cruise port until they drop you off it is not anything that is going to be negative. We had one alias, Sexy Poppa as our tour guide for the day. He stayed with us and got us through the orientation for zip lining, and walked us through what we will be doing horseback riding. The meal in the afternoon was excellent! We ate authentic Dominican food, and it was prepared very cleanly and very sanitary. There was a gift shop on site with reasonable pricing and a variety of different things you can buy to bring back with you, including coffee and Lacore. There was a man out front carving, petrified wood into the most amazing creations. Some need to know when you take this trip; you cannot use American Express in the store. They only take Mastercard and Visa. Cash obviously. The pricing in the store was excellent. One warning, do not buy the vanilla extract as it tastes like a synthetic plastic. This is the only thing I found is a negative. Be very careful of buying any of the extract products because of the ingredients. The coffee is wonderful, the honey is wonderful, there is a woman out front selling chocolate coffee that you can make as an instant coffee and she is actually giving samples out. Buying the coffee from her is eight dollars a bottle. I bought two one for me and one for my Bestie. Bags of the coffee beans are $16. Don’t buy it at the duty-free at the port. it’s way cheaper to buy it at this store. Same thing for the rum and the Liquore. Please make sure you tip one at the end and make it a good tip. He shares that with all the guys that he works with and these guys work very very hard for your safety. They are respectful they are funny and we had a great time! This deserves all fives I couldn’t find anything about the adventure that I would give a negative not one thing.

The best excursion ever! - Our family of five, my husband and are are right at 60, our boys are 18, and 15, and our girl is 10 years old. All of us said this was the highlight of our cruise. We did the waterfall slides, horseback riding, and lunch excursion. There is nothing I would change about any of it. Edwardo and Carlos were our excursion guides. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. Gabriel was our photographer and did an amazing job so we have a lot of pictures for years to come. Tony and Fredrick were the best guides through the forest and water slides. They made sure everyone was comfortable and safe. The gentlemen at the stables and guides during the horseback riding did an excellent job. My younger two had never ridden hoses before and both said that was their favorite part. My older child loves experiencing authentic food from places we visit and was not disappointed at all with the lunch. I highly recommend this excursion and hope you have as much fun as we did.

Hiking, Waterfalls, and Zip Lines - Francisco was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable on the history, explained everything well, and made it so much more enjoyable. We had a blast hiking up a mountain, sliding down 4 waterfalls, and zip lining. Highly Recommend!!

Our favorite excursion! - Francisco was our tour guide and was the BEST! He made things fun and interesting on the rides, telling us about local history and the culture. The hike was so beautiful and the natural water slides are SO worth it! The photographer that came with us was amazing as well and captured the best photos! The ziplining was so fun and easy to maneuver through! The lunch was great and the views were awesome. Would do it all over, it was our favorite part of our vacation!!

Zip line and horses - Very good, everything excellent from when we were picked up at the resort to when we were returned to the resort, we did the zip line and the horse ride very satisfied with the whole experience, our guide was Alex and the driver was named Daniel some kingpins both

Fun, safe, and thrills for all! - This was a great excursion for the family - adults and kids! Francisco, our tour guide, and the entire crew were phenomenal. His team picked up and returned us to the Amber Cove port (on time) and provided a warm, welcoming ride to the event site. Along the 30-45 minute drive, he educated us on Puerto Plata and the Dominican Republic. Our family enjoys learning about new communities and their culture from a true resident. Great learning opportunity for children and adults. Now for the fun! We rode horses through the hillside country for spectacular views. The Mega Adventures team was very organized, matching riders to horses based on their experience level. Our group consisted of riders from ages 9 - 65+. All had a good time. Then we had a blast on the ziplines. Flying through the tree tops and above the creeks and streams. The Mega Adventures team was very patient, professional, encouraging, and insured safety first. I've tried ziplines across the USA, but Mega Adventures' safety practices exceeded those. Staff provided a zipline demonstration session to prepare and reassure participants. Between stations, they reiterated safety practices, especially hand placement. WE HAD A BALL! PLUS...they undersold the lunch provided. It exceeded our expectations! 2 entrees (chicken and beef stew), beans & rice, salad, plantains, local fruit, bread, and soft drinks. Prepared by the locals and rivaled (and/or surpassed) any of the meals on our cruise ship. Everyone enjoyed it, even my picky eater. Again, Francisco and the Mega Adventures team are outstanding! They even accommodated persons that were unable to zipline through the trees by providing water and a very relaxing rocking chair in a covered area. I highly recommend Mega Adventure. Top-notched professionals that provide fun for all!

Amazing time - This was hands down the best excursion of our entire trip! From start to finish, everything was well organized, fun, and memorable. We rode horses through the beautiful countryside, went ziplining through the trees, tasted delicious local food, and learned about the rich history of the island. What made this tour extra special was the incredible staff—especially our guide, Francisco. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and just a joy to be around. He made sure everyone felt safe, informed, and welcomed. A highlight for me was seeing my 7-year-old, who was very hesitant to get on a horse, end up having the time of his life thanks to the patient and encouraging guides. I was just about ready to give up, but they didn’t give up on him—and I’m so glad they didn’t! It turned into one of the most fun and heartwarming parts of our trip. If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic and looking for a fun, safe, and culturally enriching experience, this is the tour to book. Highly recommend!

Zipping right along. - I would highly recommend this company. We enjoyed ziplining and horseback riding. My only negative is that they push you to go so fast in between zip line spots that you couldn't even catch your breath from climbing. And the pace of the horseback ride was a little too fast to enjoy but I understand and appreciate all they did for us anyway.

Horseback riding and Ziplining ❤️ - Duran and the crew were absolutely amazing! The 🐎 horseback riding was pretty good but I love to ride so I could’ve rode longer. The zip lining was Amazing! It was a lot of Fun! The Island food was a absolutely delicious!

Amazing - The views were amazing and all of the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly! We loved it so much and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
