Do it, you will not regret it - I'm going to give the most honest and informative review I can here. This place was great, I highly recommend it. To start with, if you are coming into the Taino Bay cruise port like I did, walk all the way through and follow signs towards exit and taxis, keep going around the sidewalk towards the police station and you will find someone holding the DR Prime sign. Everyone I encountered was very helpful and friendly. Now to the exciting part, the drive through the city and towards the buggy business. Riding through the city chaos was a highlight for me. Once at the buggies, they suit you up with a helmet, goggles and bandana face mask, you need all 3. In no time at all, you are behind the wheel and off having fun through dirt roads, some paved, then jungle, farmland, and crossing creeks. You will definitely get dirty. They stop at a store with a small presentation on local coffee/cocoa and the chance to buy something authentic. Might be slightly overpriced, but I felt like it helps the local economy better than the stores in the cruise port so we bought some things. Then off to a quick beach stop, clear blue water, but litter was around. Some more off roading takes you back to the home base. Nothing too challenging but lots of fun, buggies drive like cars or UTVs. They have lockers and outdoor showers. I recommend a water proof case for your phone and clothes you want stained with a good story. Just do it. One of our favorite excursions we have ever done, made great by great people.

One of the best and affordable excursions in Puerto Plata! - Shoutout to DR Prime Tours for such affordable and FUN tours seriously. It almost felt unreal after searching on get your guide and TripAdvisor to find things that worked on our dates of being in the DR. But we were grateful to have found this excursion!! The buggies experience was an absolute vibe, we stopped by the beach, did a cocoa + cigar plantation tour. Had mamajuana shots , and got to hang around some locals! The only thing I wish is that we would’ve been able to go a bit faster but I cannot complain lmao. Getting dirty and just this experience all in all was very fun, I highly recommend

Great value buggy experience! - This was a super fun experience! The guides were great, the trails were fun to ride on. The cigar stop was fun and informative! Trails were dry on the day we went, still be prepared to get nice and wet with river crossings. We’ll be back for sure and hope for good muddy trails next time😁 If you’re cruising, book through these guys you can’t beat the value!
