- Puerto Olivares - Experience a delightful nature and birdwatching tour along the Paraguay and Manduvira rivers, located just 50 km from Asunción. The journey to the Puerto Olivares farm will be in a private car, taking approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival at the farm, birdwatching will commence immediately. From the farm’s entrance, an impressive variety of forest and savanna birds can be observed, including Savanna Hawks, Toco Toucans, various Parakeet species, Woodpeckers, and many more.
- Estacion Puerto Olivares - Upon reaching the Manduvira River, a brief walk along the monkey trails will allow for the observation of mammals such as the Black-and-Golden Howler Monkey and Azaras Capuchin Monkey. Following this, a boat ride on the river will reveal a plethora of waterbirds, including various heron, stork, sandpiper, tern, and kingfisher species. Additionally, several birds of prey, potential seedeaters (season-dependent), and aquatic mammals like neotropical or giant otters, or even caimans, may be spotted. The tour will also feature a stunning sunset, providing an excellent opportunity to capture memorable moments with cameras amidst the breathtaking nature of the Paraguay River.
