Great way to spend a day - The trip was great and my guide Enrique, photographer Kevin, sailor Jonathan and Captain Ishmael were all great. Saw a nurse shark, eel, many fish and swam through a jelly fish jungle without getting stung! Even got some extra time in the water on request. I did not expect the "upselling" to the VIP option, so was not prepared to pay extra but fortunately it worked out. Had it been an initial choice, I would have paid it to have the smaller group (i had the boat and crew all to myself!) I was able to get excused from.the tequila presentation, since I have had that experience many other times. I really appreciated that Enrique understood that I also had no interest in souvenir shopping, so we made it through town easily. Although if you want the local.shopping experience, I think Puerto Morelo would be a goodnplace.for.it. The people were friendly and the.town is small enough that you can shop for many wonderful local products. The tacos and ceviche were excellent and I HIGHLY recommend the sangria!

Get your swim on - Great family excursion, especially if you love the ocean. I highly recommend getting the photo package after youâre done. We saw plenty of sea turtles, different schools of fish as well as a stingray and barracuda!

Enjoyed the snorkelling, tequila tasting and meal, but didn't like the hard sell of photographs! - Beautiful corals and fish, enjoyed the tequila tasting experience, very generous with the samples! However found the hard sell for photos of our snorkelling trip after the meal slightly intimidating. We asked on a number of occasions if our transport had arrived and were told our transport could not pick us up for at least 45 minutes, during which time we were repeatedly offered our photos at ever decreasing prices each time we declined. We subsequently found out our transport was parked up outside all along!

Disappointing - Snorkeling đ€ż was disappointing. No beautiful reef just sea grass. No free time to explore. Tourist trap and only taken to "friends" shop. We only gave it a 2 * because we saw a couple turtles & eagle ray.

A little disappointment in the Puerto Morelos Snorkel. - We were so excited for this snorkel event especially with how it was advertised. On the day of the weather was causing some strong currents and rough waves; we were told by the tour guides that it may not be good for our smaller child, and that we could try to reschedule; however viator does not allow this so we had a lot of confusion and almost missed our event. Luckily we were put in a later slot. The snorkel does require the $10 USD /person dock fee and you will be expected to tip everyone. The snorkel gear was not the best we've seen, i.e., mismatched fins and a snorkel that looks like a dollar store buy. Mine came apart during snorkeling ( the mouthpiece was separated from the tube). The snorkeling itself was disappointing; the reef was mostly dead/dying. There were some fish but very minimal. You have to swim in a group, and you are not allowed to swim on your own; almost in a tour-type fashion. We snorkeled for maybe an hour. They get you excited for free tacos and tequila tasting at the end; which the tequila tasting is a 1/4 tsp taste and you are encouraged to buy buy buy and don't forget to tip. You will get one small taco at the end; there will be a band and you will be asked to tip them too. I also understand that some Spanish and our group leaders were a little derogatory towards some of the passengers right in front of them. They also will talk about you right in front of you thinking you don't know what they are saying; and if you don't tip enough they will mock you.
So unfortunately, will all of this; this was not the best experience.

Find somewhere else to snorkel - I was very disappointed. I was charged an additional 50 dollars when I arrived. I was told it was for transportation. We could not take pictures while snorkeling. I have snorkeled for 10 years and have never not been allowed to take pictures. Instead we had to buy the pictures the guide took. I saw a lot of interesting fish while in the water and do not have a picture of any of them. I completely feel I was cheated out of 400 dollars. I will never sign up again.

Trip was cancelled without any notice. You have to figure it out yourself. I have not received the promised refund. - The trip was cancelled due to windy weather. They did not send out any kind of notice. I sat in front of my hotel for an hour and after some back and forth messages learned that they would not be coming. The site promises a refund . I asked for a refund. They said they would provide one. I have not received a refund or heard anything since.

Disappointing trip... - The snorkling trip of today was a big disappointment for us. Pick-up 1.5h before the foreseen time of the activity. No introduction of the driver, nor an 'good morning' or some explanation. After a full hour of other hotel pick-ups we left for Puerto Moreno.
Drop off at location without instructions. One of the rules is 'no sunscreen' so we needed to buy an expensive shirt to prevent a sunburn (so bring a shirt with long sleeves if you chose to do this trip anyway). No photos allowed (because there is someone taking pictures on the excursion to sell afterwards, and the reason of damaging the reef).
The tone of the guide was quite agressive from the beginning of the excursion.
Barely any instructions from the beginning on. Participants seem to panic.
It hurt my heart that children (I'd propose only children of more than 12 years old) and unexperienced swimmers damaged the reef. Groups of max. 6 persons would be way better, and is possible for the price we paid.
The equipement was of inferior quality, single use tuba (wrapped in plastic, work on your responsability to Mother Earth in a consistent way, guys!), leaking goggles with a tear in the rubber, ...
The whole trip felt like a money factory without a soul and passion.
The ride back arrived 50min late.
We participated in many snorkling trips already and this was the most expensive and most disappointing one.
I propose to advertise properly that sunscreen is not possible and dressing fit for the sun is important, to evade to spend money in your shop. Secondly I propose that you take a few minutes in the water to make people feel at ease so they don't panic if you scream that people need to follow you, and will be able to adapt their equipment. Thirdly, the rules at the website of Puerto Morelo are not conform your rules: they allow for example reef friendly sunscreen, they don't forbid the use of cameras. So, if you do make rules for your company to make more money (59 US dollar for a few photos, seriously? I don't make that amount with my work), do this in your own name, and not under the name of CONANP for example. Tips are asked several times a day, and don't match with service, nor passion for the job.
Thanks however for the nice tacos and friendliness in the restaurant today.
