The day began with a seamless check-in process, and soon enough, I was harnessed up and ready to take flight. Given my background in extreme sports, I couldn’t resist the allure of the ATV. The track was a mud-laden playground, with tight curves and fast straightaways that tested my skills and left me grinning from ear to ear.

The grand finale of the day was a swim in a private cenote, a natural sinkhole filled with crystal-clear water. After the adrenaline rush of the day’s activities, the cenote offered a moment of tranquility and reflection. Floating in the cool water, surrounded by the beauty of the jungle, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the experiences that travel and adventure bring.

A Culinary Surprise and Lasting Memories

One of the unexpected highlights of the day was the food. Often, adventure parks fall short in the culinary department, but not Selvatica. The break included a delicious ham quesadilla and fresh fruit, a perfect snack to refuel for the next round of activities. Lunch was a feast of chicken fajitas with rice and beans, accompanied by a fresh salad bar. The flavors were vibrant, and the quality was impressive, a testament to the care and attention the staff put into every aspect of the experience.

Throughout the day, the staff, led by our guide Chino, ensured that safety was paramount while keeping the energy high and the jokes flowing. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear that they were passionate about providing an unforgettable experience.
