Awesome Snorkeling - This trip was very well organized. Our instructors, Cariana and Maui, were upbeat and informative. We enjoyed the snorkeling and were able to see a lot of ocean life. It was followed up with tequila tasting and delicious tacos. What a fun activity! I highly recommend.

Great Experience - The snorkeling was great, we had a great guide. The tacos afterwards were good as well. We got a small tequila tasting right after the snorkeling, which was a sales pitch but there was no big pressure to buy. Overall it was a good experience.

Highlight of our trip - Amazing trip with amazing guides! This was the highlight of our trip to the area. After the briefing about snorkeling and caring for the reef we went out on a quick 5 min boat ride to the reef. We snorkeled for about an hour and saw endless tropical fish and coral along with a sea turtle, eagle ray, yellow stingray, barracuda, moray eel, and so much more! Obviously we got lucky and I’m not sure everyone will see that much. The guides were fun and knowledgeable. After snorkeling we put in our orders for tacos then went back to the main location where we started across the street from the beach where the boat is located. Then they did an education and tasting of tequila. We don’t drink, so this wasn’t entertaining or interesting to us at all, but the others in the group seemed to like it. Then we got tacos that were just ok, but still fun to sit on a balcony overlooking the ocean to eat. While eating, the photographer (Mario - our favorite) came to show us the pictures from snorkeling on his iPad. The pictures were amazing and we spent the $1050 pesos for him to send them to our phones. Pro tip, after tacos we had almost two hours of wait time until our van came. We rented a moped from the shop Nextdoor for $25 and explored this amazing town.

Need more time to walk round Puerto Morelos - It was good, but we didn't get a whole lot of time to look around Puerto Morelos. I would have happily ditched the tacos or tequila tasting (which is really a bit of a sales pitch), to have time to look round.

No sunscreen allowed-bring rash guards - First need to note that you can't wear sunscreen and they make you wash anything off that you might already be wearing. Since my girls burn easily we ended up spending $75 USD on trash guard shirts. Which is good because they did have their legs and bum burned and that was less out of the water. The snorkeling was a lot of fun for my husband and I. If you're not used to swimming then it can be very tiring. Our daughters didn't care for it at all since they were constantly moving for the entire hour in the water. The tacos were good but since I'm gluten free there wasn't anything I could have. My family did enjoy them though. The tequila tasting was fun and there was no pressure to buy. We checked out the town but the guides did warn us not to buy from most of the vendors. We bought stuff from the grocery store and one the suggested vendors. We also had ice cream at Aldo's which was divine and gluten free for me. I think the 2.5hr of shopping was a little bit long and we were exhausted by the time our ride got there. We enjoyed it and if the details is timing were more clear then maybe we would have been better prepared.

Local tour operator totally screwed up! - This tour was a disaster for us. Not the tour itself because we never actually went on the tour. We had email confirmations from Viator and the local tour operator and we even had our electronic tickets for this snorkeling adventure in Puerto Morales. But the local tour operator booked us on a completely different tour (to Tulum ruins and cenotes) which we were not interested in. They admitted to their mistake and refunded our money. But we were deeply disappointed. We've booked many times with Viator for many different countries and never had a problem. But this was a HUGE problem. 7 of us were very upset, especially the 10 and 12 year old kids.
