Very fun and insane... - Very fun and insane experience. Once in a lifetime! It was very hot and there were many bugs but you go into the trip expecting that. The activities were so fun and days were filled with things to do.

Amazing experience - We had an amazing time at the Paradise lodge with our local tour guide from Puerto Maldonado, Borris. He made the trip extra special for us with his patience, care and knowledge of the jungle, the experience was so much more than we imagined. All of the activities/ trips was great, the lodge was so clean and with lots of friendly staff, we was super looked after there. We had lovely food everyday where they served us big portions daily to keep us fuelled. Thank you to all the team at Paradise. From the office staff, to everyone at the lodge, and our tour guide Borris :) we highly recommended this.

Amazon jungle tour - It was a top experience. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days in a fine lodge. The water is cold by European standards but not freezing. There was a lovely queen size bed and the further facilities were excellent on the logde. There was a breakfast every morning that started with a good portion of fruit. Followed by omelette or fried eggs and banana pancakes. In addition, juice coffee and bread with sweet toppings. Lunch consisted of a small starter and a hot meal with rice or potato. Dinner consisted of soup, hot main course and dessert. We found the food to be of very good quality and the portions were for big eaters like us certainly adequate. A big plus was the flexibility in doing the excursions and activities. For example, we were able to do certain activities twice because they appealed more to us and we had a better chance to see animals. In the end we did all the activities and because we did monkey’s island and cayman spotting 2x we also saw more animals, this was also our thing to do. During our stay we had two guides. Our first guide Luis was fantastic, very friendly, thinking along and helpful. He even ate with us and did board games with us. He was knowledgeable about the Amazon region spoke good English and was also working on a thesis in ecotourism. Our second guide Said was a good animal spotter and had a lot of experience his english was also good. However, he made a very uninterested impression. It seemed like he wasn't having any fun. Was not interested in the people who participated in the activities. On the excursion to Lake Sandoval we had to wait 45 minutes for the boat to arrive. Because of this we were later at the lake. Eventually we were back at the starting point an hour earlier than planned and we had to wait for the boat here for an hour. This was incomprehensible to us. We were there later than planned and now we left early. What might have played a role for the guide was that the place where we had to wait for the boat had internet and in the lodge where we stayed was not. During certain cruises or while fishing, he also sat with ears in videos watching about uninterested talk. In summary, this excursion is recommended. Herewith the caveat that you should not have Said as a guide. Also, 2 nights and 3 days is sufficient in our opinion because you can have done all the activities just fine.

Our 4D/3N Tambopata Jumgle Tour with local guide experience - We (family of 5) booked this tour from 11/4/25 thru 11/7/25 amd stayed at the Paradise Yakari lodge and had a great experience. The staff at the lodge were very courteous and took care of all little details like bringing up luggage to the rooms, getting us hot water, etc. The guide - Saay - was amazing and we really enjoyed his insights and story telling. He knew the history, the historical and geographical details of the area including plants, fruits, animals, etc. and explained all the details in a fascinating way. He never got frustrated or inpatient and took the time to answer all questions. Some things to note - the power was on only from 5pm - 9 pm and there is no internet/wifi anytime but that is due to the remoteness of the lodge and it did not bother us at all. They served breakfast from 8-9 am, lunch from 1-2 pm and dinner from 8-9 pm. Saay, the guide, then planned the rest of the day around these. Under Saay's guidance, we did canoeing, boating, fishing, ziplining, visited the local natives, watched the clay-licking by parrots, hiked to lake Sandoval, etc.

Really fun trip - This was quite fun. Food was fairly good. Animals were amazing, saw many different ones and up close. Activities were also beyond expectations. It was well organized, though one time we got forgotten. On the other hand, our guide was too much into Ayahuasca, and some of her explanations were fairy tales. Room had no electricity during daytime, no fans.

Extremely Good and incredible value - Very good, look forward to the Lake Sandoval tour, there is so much wildlife. The guide, Santo was really good at very patient with good knowledge of the jungle. Everything was so Good and the food was always 2 course meals which was very satisfying. Only thing we didn’t like was how the local family, during the local family visit, treated their animals very poorly. But everything Else was amazing.

Fantastic experience. Once in a life time - would recommend - We had a fantastic experience with this tour company. It was well organized. The tour group collected us from our accommodation on the morning of, as planned. They dropped us back where we needed to go on our departure day. The accomidation is rustic, but clean. The mosquito net over our bed was in good condition. The food was basic, but filling. You can purchase extra drinks like beers, fizzy drinks and snacks if required. Filtered water is freely available. Would recommend bringing money, as there is no card machine available. Our guide Luis, was very informative and passionate about his job. He had a wealth of information about the different animals, insects and plants we saw during our time here. He was always happy to answer any questions and kept us up to date on what activities we were doing each day, what to bring and any changes made. Be prepared for some early morning starts and when you are asked to be on time for activities, do turn up on time. We would recommend bringing light, long sleeves tops and pants. Good trek shoes, sunhat and lots of sunscreen and insect repellent. There is absolutely no wifi or signal what's so ever here. Be prepared for that. We enjoyed it as it was a great way to disconnect and be very present. There is no hot water in the showers but it was so warm and humid we didn't mind at all. Tour groups are nice sizes. From 10 - 12 so you get to know others on your trip and your guide very well.

Jungle Lodge Visit - This is jungle Lodge the rooms are basic but clean, with only cold showers. The activities are well planned & the guides try hard to keep everyone entertained. The meals are very good, everyone has plenty to eat. During our stay there were very few animals & birds, it's a job to know if it was seasonal or they just aren't there anymore, we arrived after a few days rain & the river had a fair amount of pollution. Overall the stay was good apart from the points mentioned
