Amazing Adventure with Magellanic Penguins - We were able to literally walk with the penguins in the reserve of Magellanic penguins. The provider contact, Romina provided WhatsApp communication in addition to communicating via Tripadvisor to ensure we get clear understanding of where and how to meet, address questions, and get our diet restrictions as she provided lunch that included ham and cheese sandwich, empanadas, sweets, apple, and water. We ended up booking a second tour with this company as our cruise ship docked one day in advance of schedule. Romena addressed our needs immediately and even gave us a private tour of Peninsula Valdez with a wildlife photographer! That was such a treat!

Great Experience! - Go to the end of the penguin trail and work your way back. There is a tendency to take so many pictures at the beginning you may end up not having time to make it to the end. Great guide and very nice, substantial lunch.

1/2 the price cruise ships charge - Great for cruise ship passengers. You will see the most penguins doing more things while you are walking. Within 2 min from your drop off location, you will start to see them.

Great option for cruise ship passengers! - This tour was well-organized and perfect for cruise ship passengers. There was good communication with the company and they picked us up and returned us with plenty of time to the end of the very long pier where our Princess ship ported in Puerto Madryn. The drive to Punta Tombo was quite long, however it was well-worth it to get to see the large colony of Magellanic penguins nesting there. It was exciting to see so many penguins up close and learn how they live. Our guide talked about them on the drive so we were informed ahead of time. There were many guanacos in the preserve as well. Beautiful views of the ocean and the Patagonian desert. The bus was mid-sized and comfortable and there were plenty of bathroom stops on the way.

We arrived at Punta Tombo... - We arrived at Punta Tombo well before alll the other cruise passengers travelling on the more expensive cruise deals ……some were arriving whilst we were finishing our walk so got great photos before the big crowds arrived. Do consider your choices when making this trip highly recommend

Long time in mini-bus - The tour was exactly what was explained in the itinerary. Please realize it is a 2 1/2 hour mini bus ride (kind of cramped) to get there. We had to take time to buy our tickets and use the restroom, etc. We ended up having one hour at Punta Tomba. We saw a lot of penguins, but if you’ve already been to Magellanic Island, that would have been enough for us. Nothing was wrong with the tour, but realize you do spend five hours in the mini bus. We got back to the port on time, but we did not have any time to tour the city.
