• Peninsula Valdes - This Protected Natural Area boasts one of the most captivating ecosystems globally, where whales, orcas, sea lions, elephant seals, Magellan penguins, maras, guanacos, and choiques coexist. Located about 35 miles from Puerto Madryn, visitors reach El Desempeño, the main entrance to Peninsula Valdes, and after another 30 miles, they arrive at Puerto Piramides. From June to December, boat tours offer the chance to observe Southern Right Whales, while the rest of the year features nautical trips to view sea lions and enjoy the scenery. From Puerto Piramides, the journey continues 47 miles to Caleta Valdes, where magnificent elephant seals and penguins can be seen. The tour proceeds to Punta Norte, home to sea lions, sea elephants, and occasionally orcas. • Centro De Visitantes Istmo Ameghino - The visitor center is located just after passing El Desempeño (where the entrance fee to Peninsula Valdes is paid, not included in the excursion price).
