• Calle a Gringolandia - The mangrove kayak tour departs one or two hours before high tide. This adventure takes you through the mangrove estuaries of the Platanares River delta within the Preciosa Platanares Wildlife Refuge. An experienced guide will accompany you along the river beneath the canopy of 70-foot tall mangrove trees. Discover the fascinating world of mangroves and spot a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, raccoons, iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards, crabs, crocodiles, caimans, snakes, numerous bird species, and butterflies!

The tour lasts 3 hours and includes snacks (tropical seasonal fruits), a comfortable kayak with a backrest and dual-blade paddle, a life jacket, pre-trip instructions, and an expert guide. No prior experience is necessary.

Recommendations for what to bring:

Dry bags for all your belongings, including cameras and video equipment, if protected. A bathing suit, sunscreen, long pants, and a long-sleeve shirt made of dry-fit fabric for sun protection (especially from December to April), tennis shoes or sandals with straps (as footwear will get wet), a light rain jacket (only from August to November), a neck strap to secure glasses, a hat, dry clothing, a towel, and plastic bags for wet clothing.
