My older sister needed assistance to get to the boat since there are stairs involved. The kind restaurant people and Judy made sure that it was possible to board and, at the end of the journey, to get off. A good time for both of us.
Our second cruise with PLC was just as delightful as the first. Judy even went out of her way to show us DIFFERENT areas so we wouldn't be "bored"... the lakes are so beautiful we would have been happy to see the same sites over and over again. Highly recommend this cruise !
Judy is a delightful captain with a lot of knowledge of the lakes and area surrounding the lakes. The tour was informative and very personal. The lakes are beautiful and the only way to see them is on a boat! We are coming back again with houseguests next week! What a treasure Portage Lakes Cruises are to the area!!!
Very informative and relaxing time spent on the water.
well organized, great cruise director :)
I really like the way Judy kept us informed of everything she knew of the area. That was awesome. Thank you! My son and I really enjoyed it!
The cruise was very informative fun and the pilot was very enthusiastic about all the information shared. I want to go on the tour of homes
Captain was friendly and informative. We really appreciated Judy thinking about the weather and having extra jackets, scarves, etc. snacks were great. Loved the celebratory cupcakes. Would recommend updating the website to make the launch site easier to find.
This tour was so relaxing and informative. The seats were so comfortable and the ride was smooth. Very enjoyable!

The cruise was incredibly peaceful. Captain Judy was a great guide to those of us who are not from the area. Will do again!
I booked the Portage Lakes public cruise for the last Monday in September, 2017, only to have that particular day be the hottest day of the summer. Even with that heat staring us down, the 2pm cruise was wonderful. Our captain was forthcoming with awesome stories of history of the lakes as well as the homes surrounding them. Thank you for a perfect journey!
This was a very informative cruise about the history of the lakes, as well as, beautiful houses and scenery! I would recommend this cruise if you don't know the histoy - even if you are from the area.
We really enjoyed the cruise & the guide was so nice & very informative about the lake!
Very relaxing and enjoyable trip for us as well as perfect weather.

Judy is a knowledgeable person about the lakes and was very thoughtful to bring a drink and snack for everyone. Was just a wonderful experience for my wife and I! Thank you, Judy!
I went on three trips and had 3 different guides. All three guides were wonderful and different. That made it very enjoyable! We loved this cruise! I guess I would just add more of a variety of food and drinks to make it better but all-in-all it was great.
Very satisfied, she was veri informative, and cruise was lovely and relaxing! Can't wait to go again!!
Captain was knowledgeable of the area, offered snacks and was friendly. Cruise time was perfect, two hours wasn't too long or short. I wish they offered public Cruises on Saturday and Sunday for those who work during the week.
The pontoon was comfortable altho I wish all of us had been protected with an awning over the whole boat....the sun was rather hot. Captain Kay had non-stop energy in telling us about the sights we were seeing, interesting tidbits about the homes we saw as well as some of their inhabitant families. She explained how the scenery is changing and about the increase in taxes which will affect the homeowners. It was all interesting as she updated us on whats happened in years past as well as to date. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Captain Kay was very knowledgeable about the area having lived in the area for along time. Interesting stories to tell.
Captain was very knowledgeable! Very relaxing and enjoyable.
First off, Captain Kay was awesome! Her knowledge of the lakes was extraordinary, and she made it fun with great stories! The boat was packed, however, with too many people! AND we left without the last couple who didn't show up. Where would they have sat? Apparently, they were bringing out folding chairs for them. I felt sorry for the people who sat in the back totally shoulder to shoulder with their neighbor. They should cap at 8. Period. The outing was enjoyable and a once in a lifetime experience.
The cruise was very relaxing and informative. I slept like a baby that night. Very knowledgeable about the lakes and the homes around the lakes. So nice to having such a beautiful place to visit right in your own backyard.
Judy was very informative and personable, we enjoyed ourselves, . THANKS!!
So relaxing, smooth sailing and very informative .. .Captaim Judy is so welcoming and pleasant to travel on the Postage Lakes....we live to e with her on her boat Thank you!!! Ralph and Chris Coletta
A relaxing tour of the seven lakes with the captain giving the history of the area.
Kay was a wonderful guide and provided many details about Portage Lakes and the surrounding area. We were also pleased that with only 2 of us she still did the cruise.
Captain Kay took very good care of us! She was very knowledgeable about the lakes and was able to answer any questions we asked. The ride commenced at 2:00 and the weather, which started out a bit breezy and overcast, wasn't bad. It was unseasonably cool for so early in Sept. but we all dressed for it. I was just happy that we didn't have to resort to umbrellas! I had no idea how large the Portage Lakes actually were! Very beautiful scenery and homes all along the shorelines made for an interesting tour. I found this tour on Groupon and it was well worth it. I would definitely recommend Public Cruise and would love to take another tour again next summer. Thank you Captain's Judy and Kay for a wonderful afternoon!
Our "Hostess" was a lot of fun and she had the most interesting way of giving you the history of the lakes. Very informative and very interesting. I only wish we had more time on the water so that we could have seen more and learned more about the lakes. I would do it again!
JUDY, You were exceptional and gave so much information. I am looking forward to your calendar of events so I can do more cruises next year. I plan to even have my family rent a pontoon next summer to tour the lakes. Thanks for everything. Debbie Luchka
Captain Judy was very attentive and the trip was both relaxing and informative. The cruise was very enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone.
It was a very enjoyable outing. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Portage Lakes.
Although the boat was a little crowded, even though part of my group didn't come, I had a great time! It was beautiful, our guide was very knowledgeable & having lived in Portage Lakes for it sounds like her whole life, shared some great stories with us! I'm going to do another cruise this year & maybe make it an annual event!
Kathy was a great captain and very knowledgeable. Loved seeing all the homes and learning the history of the lakes.
Tour guide was very interesting and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed her narration and learned so much about the Portage Lakes. Thank you!
Excellent cruise, very informative. highly recommend. I am already recommending this cruise to everyone. WIll do it again next year.
Everything about this cruise was fantastic!! From the awesome communication beforehand, to the incredible captain and host. I would highly recommend this cruise for anyone who wanted to spend a relaxing afternoon learning about the history and beauty of the Portage Lakes
It was very interesting and relaxing. The captain was friendly and informative.
We loved this cruise and Captain Kay! It helps that the Captain is a native or the area. Very informative about the neighborhoods surrounding the lakes, now and in years gone by. I sure found out why we personally would not be able to live on the lakes! We also found out that there are many more lakes than we realized. It isn't just one big lake, but a series of lakes, some of which are not connected with navigable waterways, and others that have had channels dug and widened to allow passage. I would recommend this cruise to anyone-- there is no age or physical condition restricted.
great narration and smooth as ice sailing the night we all went with OK KAY...she was very imformative and got great tips from our group....we were all so pleased...thank you Judy..I will see you Tuesday night on the Portage Princess. Chris Coletta
We brought our twin 15 yr old grandsons with us,and they were not at all bored with the cruise, the weather was perfect, sunny and some clouds, and the conversation and information from the captain was very interesting, thank you
Great experience with a very nice and informative Captain. Very relaxing 2 hour cruise around the Portage Lakes which I didn't know much about. Will recommend your cruise to all my friends looking for a nice afternoon getaway.
