• Necropoli di Montessu - Explore this prehistoric necropolis, which spans about 2 kilometers. It features over 40 tombs of various shapes and sizes. Two of the Domus are particularly significant, containing Neolithic religious symbols. One displays a bull symbol carved on the entrance wall, along with other symbols like the eyes and breasts of the Mother Goddess and a false door symbolizing the passage to the afterlife. The other tomb features horns of various shapes, related to the bull god cult, sculpted into the ceiling and on the step leading to the Domus entrance. Pottery found during excavations indicates the necropolis was used from the Final Neolithic to the Early Bronze Age. To access the tombs, 120 steps must be climbed. Visiting is recommended between July and August for those accustomed to such activity.
• Santadi - After exploring the remarkable Giant Tomb, a name given by locals and archaeologists to a type of Sardinian megalithic gallery grave from the Bronze Age built by the Nuragic civilization, which served as collective tombs. These can be found throughout Sardinia, with 800 discovered so far. Reaching the tomb requires a 1 km hike. Visiting is recommended during the hottest months for those accustomed to such activity.
• Nuraghe Sa Domu ‘e s’Orcu - The Nuraghe represents the primary type of ancient megalithic structure found in Sardinia, developed during the Nuragic Age between 1900 and 730 BCE. It has become a symbol of Sardinia and its unique culture, the Nuragic civilization. Over 7000 nuraghes have been discovered, though archaeologists believe there were initially more than 10,000.
