Roberto transmits all his passion with an interactive story that ranges in topics, entertains in an engaging way and makes you feel part of his environmental project. The experience is relaxing, the scenery breathtaking. The most unexpected and beautiful activity of our stay in the area.

Your Death - My Life - '' thy death - my life''- simple rule of nature where birds of prey reign. And Roberto puts his life into letting them live. He passionately explained the stories of each of his family members / that I can not call them birds / and managed to convey to us all respect and great interest better than the DA National Geografic ornithologists. My daughters are in love with Barbagian and can't see Merlin and Morgana's puppies coming. And His Majesty Acquila no doubt moves from the throne of the King of nature banal lion. A perfect day in Civita - We chose, among the many options, to spend a whole day with Roberto, the beating soul of this grandiose reality. As a very knowledgeable AIGAE guide, he introduced us to the beautiful village of Civita, according to the history that it was, but also according to myths and legends. We visited the incredible "Devil's Bridge", which overlooks a part of the Raganello gorges. Afterwards we went into the village to get to know more about the pretty "Casa Kodra" and the magnificence of some historic and important chimneys, and then visited the Civita museum to learn more about the "Arbëreshë" origins of the country. The even more incredible part, then, comes around lunchtime, when we participate in the convivial lunch, overlooking the mountains and the cicadas singing in the background, with Roberto and his whole family, of which Roberto's wife, Loreta, is the chef! Do not miss his "Meatballs with the scent of Pollino" with sauce, capers and olives (I think I have never eaten meatballs so good!!). And then, icing on the cake, the art of falconry! The one for which Roberto and Pietro (his son) dedicate their entire lives, uninterruptedly. Being in contact with birds of prey is too exciting an experience, which only those who live it can understand! Being in close contact with them, knowing their habits, observing them so firmly closely and, more importantly, understanding the hard work that Roberto and family have been carrying out for over twenty years to ensure the maximum well-being of birds of prey... well, let's say that everything I wrote does not really do justice to what has been this fantastic day, this incredible experience!! I wanted to thank publicly, therefore, the whole Rugiano family, for giving us so much, for welcoming us into their world and for all the kindness and attention received! It was all wonderful!! Definitely we will return to do other activities (of which their site is widely stocked, just scour a little to find the best activity for all people and needs!) See you next and thank you again!!

You really are prepared, humble people and you immediately put us at ease, we felt like we were family. The love for what you do and the passion shines through and involves those who listen to you. The welcome, the homemade food by Roberto's wife that was delicious were the icing on the cake of the day. Care and attention to every detail. We really spent a day that will remain forever in our fondest memories. We understood behind everything the important responsibility behind this difficult project and we were really happy to have contributed to it. We will recommend this experience to anyone, because it really enriches you, because the teachings that Roberto gave us together with his son will serve us for life. A special thanks goes to Roberto and his son who are really great people, very prepared, we were fascinated with interactive explanations about the world of birds of prey and with the treasure hunt where they gave us advice not only related to the game but that we will need for life, how to orient ourselves with the use of the map, the union when working in a group, go back in your steps when you are wrong and reflect on the smallest details and then move on in the afternoon to the step by step explanation of each bird of prey, its life, its history, the habits the characteristics of each specimen. Interactive explanations that engage and fascinate you. Thanks to the falconers for the beautiful past day, we will definitely return to visit your refuge doing more of the many activities you offer. The day passed quickly and we returned home after this experience with an enriched cultural blunder. We strongly recommend you all to do these activities, you will not regret it!!! MAGICAL EXPERIENCE, ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED. - Our experience can be called Fantastic! Roberto and his family are people who if they were not there would have to be invented. Perfect organization: the treasure hunt through the streets of Civita involved, interested and entertained young and old; we had lunch with excellent lasagna and spectacular meatballs in a location that had magic, welcomed with sincere hospitality. Roberto is super competent, super communicative, super engaging, super self-aware and brings with him a wealth of history, tradition and love for nature and the territory, really commendable. I absolutely recommend a day with them.

A genuine relationship between man and nature - I didn’t know what to expect from this experience and in the end I came out deeply enriched. Pietro, despite being very young, is an attentive and prepared Pro, excellent storyteller and respectful of the times and personality of the guest. He knows how to communicate his clear passion for the territory and in particular the local fauna. The walk in which he accompanied me is suitable for everyone and made even more interesting by his explanations and anecdotes. The lunch included in the experience turned out to be very pleasant and above all plentiful! Recommendation to come with hunger. Roberto then took care of the second part of the experience, supported by Pietro, his son. I found Roberto's exposition honest and genuine, which I can imagine may be perceived as controversial for some, but personally I found it deeply educational and stimulated my curiosity in wanting to deepen the subject of falconry. I do not know if Roberto is fully aware of his narrative qualities, but I perceived the explanatory path he conceived as genuine, concrete to compelling. I do not anticipate anything but on the last narration I was moved. All set in a practical and efficient context, surrounded by beautiful nature. I sensed not only the collaboration of the whole family with the animals present (not only birds) but also honest attention to the host. Perhaps because I too am a mountaineer, albeit from the Dolomites, I found myself in tune with the messages of Pietro and Roberto who live the relationship between man and nature not as in a Disney film but mutual respect and collaboration. My Recommendation is to let you guide and get involved: try to see the themes treated with the perhaps utopian and passionate eyes of Robert and Peter. Whatever idea you eventually take home, you'll be enriched.
