An amazing trip to the volcano top! - Our Guide Fian was very experienced and knowledgeable about the area. He was friendly and very supportive. It was a rather long drive from our cruise port to Mt Bromo but it was well worth it. The landscape is absolutely amazing! We preferred to walk instead of riding a horse. Although walking over sandy surfaces, it was not difficult provided one has the proper shoes. Nevertheless I didn’t make it up to the top as the altitude (some 2,300m) was too much for me. But my husband made it well and ha was able to see the amazing view of the crater below.

Very good day in Probolinggo! - Budi was our tour guide. Everything was very professional and well organized. We lucked out with a sunny panorama view of the volcano ridge. Good weather for the trek up the volcano.

Personalized picturesque views of Bromo with tons of local flavor - Outstanding trip with spectacular view of Bromo. Kawid was extremely helpful in all respects and communicated well with us as it took us 2 hours to tender into the port. Our car driver Pras was so skillful navigating around the scooters and trucks. I was so glad he had the wheel! Our jeep driver Tono was equally adept taking us around many cliff top curves to a beautiful viewpoint we had all to ourselves, beating the fog to capture our Kodak moments. Kawid was a wealth of knowledge, providing local commentary on the sights, the city, the vehicles, the geology, and food and sightseeing for the rest of our cruise ports. He even added an ATM stop for us and facilitated grabbing a local delicacy. And he threw in some language lessons as well. Five stars!

A must-see - We had a fantastic time exploring Mount Bromo. Layla was an excellent tour guide, teaching us about all the sights we visited. She was also a great photographer, capturing memorable moments for my friends and I! There was a heavy downpour after we visited Mt Bromo so unfortunately Madakaripura waterfall was closed before we could visit, but Layla was able to think of another nearby waterfall we could see instead which was equally spectacular! If you can, I thoroughly recommend visiting Mt Bromo in the off-season and skipping the sunrise tour. Queues and crowds can be out of control out Mt Bromo during these times. Visiting in December at mid-morning, we practically had the volcano to ourselves.

It was a very fulfilling tour. - The tour was great because of the guides and many staff. My guide Minnie was friendly and helpful. The commentary was easy for the ignorant me to understand, and the location to see the sunrise and the route to explore Madakalipura waterfall were tailored to me. It was a great day for me. We will re-visit this tour even if it is under different conditions (number of people and season). Note: For the sunrise option, we recommend choosing the 0:00 set on the day. (At 23:30, there was system confusion.)

Clear recommendation! - The tour was really great. Despite the rainy season, I was lucky with the weather. Just a little fog on the Bromo and a great experience to stand directly on the crater of an active volcano. Very impressive. The waterfalls were also beautiful. You walk there partly through the river in the middle of the rainforest, hear loudly the birds everywhere and then arrive in a ravine below the falls. It's really picturesque. I did the tour with André. He was very friendly and helpful. We talked a lot about the country, the culture and the history of Java. He spoke English very well and even knew a few words of German. I can only recommend the tour. Of course, the weather has to play along, which can sometimes go differently in the rainy season.
