A private driver will collect you from your hotel or railway station and transport you to the Shaolin Temple, located in Dengfeng County, Henan Province, with a driving time of approximately 1.5 hours. The temple, originally constructed in 495 during the Northern Wei Dynasty (368-534), is renowned as ‘the Number One Temple under Heaven’. Upon arrival, the driver will assist in purchasing your entrance ticket, allowing you to explore the temple independently.

After completing your visit, return to the designated meeting point where the driver dropped you off. You may choose to stop for lunch if desired.

In the afternoon, proceed to the Longmen Grottoes. These grottoes were excavated and carved with Buddhist themes from 493 AD to 1127 AD. The Longmen Grottoes encompass over 1,400 grottoes and caves spread across Longmen Mountain and Xiang Mountain, which stand across the Yi River. They house no fewer than 100,000 Buddhist statues, 2,500 tablets, stelae, and other religious artifacts.
