Great transfer - Driver was great the van clean and new. We had to contact the provider when they didn't show up as we exited the cruise ship and waited about 30 mins. We contacted them and they were on site in about 30 mins more so no issue. He explained that TripAdvisor is sending them the bookings in the wrong order so they didnt see ours that had been booked about 90 days ago.

Definitely the way to go! - Wow! This was definitely the way to go. With so many people getting off the cruise ship, it was reassuring to know that we had a ride. The pick up was quick and easy and we were on our way.

Book ahead, prices can get crazy on the day you need a ride. - The driver arrived close to on time and got us to our ship ahead of schedule. The driver was talkative and entertaining. I learned more about Italy on an hour ride than from all my paid guides combined. I would book with the same driver. The most important thing I learned was that while any taxi or limo can take you to the port, they don't all have access. You might have to walk the last half mile if you take any ride available in Rome.

Transport from Rome to cruise ship - Communication was extremely poor. Tried multiple times to change pick up time, never got confirmed. Day of trip we had no clue if we were getting picked up, called and was told their system was down, someone hung up on me, called again still could not confirm we were being picked up. Requested refund As we were booking an uber the driver finally arrived, he was very nice and professional. When we were in the car got a call about why we requested a refund, they didnt have any problem reaching out once they had to refund. Never again to trip advisor!

Beware! - The van didn’t come at all! I called TripAdvisor and was told to call the operator. Per the operator, he was notified last minute and there’s no availability. He said TripAdvisor booked the transfer without confirmation from the them, so I really don’t know whose fault it is. We ended up getting another ride after waiting for an hour and spent more. This would happen a lot of times when it’s confirmed with Viator or TripAdvisor but the service provider/operator would cancel at the time of service. Viator/TripAdvisor should look into this issue. Travellers book the tour through them because we trust and rely on them. Yes they are just coordinators but they should make sure that their customers/travellers are in good hands and get their money’s worth.
