Civitatis and Tours Operator S&J. The best choice to sour a private transfer in Dominican Republic - I booked a private transfer from Las Americas Airport (Santo Domingo) to Cayo Levantado Resort (Samaná) on 02/14/26 and back for 2/19/26 through Civitatis who assigned me to Tours Operadora S&J as a service provider. I have never experienced a more negative experience with a Transfer. The first thing is that I tried before the trip to contact Civitatis and the tour operator to clarify one aspect of the transfer through the option offered by Civitatis on its website. Impossible, no one answers. We arrived at the airport of the Americas and no one is waiting for us from the tour operator. After a while, a person tells us they're going to reach him. I call the contact number we had and they tell us it's only for emergency call and they start a chat with Whatsapp. Conclusion, the transfer is 35 minutes late. We begin the journey that in theory takes 2.5 hours and when it seems that we are already close, the driver detours along a road and starts climbing mountains. We consulted with Waze and it tells us a totally different itinerary. We communicated it to the driver and after hesitation to check it out... he took us to a totally different place. The 2.5-hour journey became more than 4 hours. With the one-way experience, I contact the tour operator on Whatsapp asking them to make sure the driver knows exactly where to pick us up and give them the exact address. The pick-up time was 4:30 p.m., and at that time the transfer has not arrived. The call to the tour operator turns into another conversation by Whastapp that just gives us the driver's phone. We called him and he told us he was coming, he had been given an incorrect address again. As a result, 30 minutes delay is increased with two stops that the driver has to make. The rest of the Tour operators attending to cover private services were already at the pick-up point 30 minutes in advance.
