Today, the guide will hold a name card and meet clients in the hotel lobby. After the day tour, the guide will return them to their hotel in Taian City.

Route: Start from Tianwai Village and take an excursion bus to Zhongtian Gate. From Zhongtian Gate, take a cable car to Nantian Gate. From Nantian Gate, enjoy a 30-minute walk to the top of Tai Mountain, and return the same way to the parking area.

Upon reaching Nantian Gate, you can explore on your own, and the guide will provide a meeting point. However, you will accompany the guide back to the parking area after the day tour.

Mount Tai, located north of Tai’an city in Shandong province, China, is a mountain of great historical and cultural importance. The highest peak, Jade Emperor Peak, is often cited as 1,545 meters tall, though the PRC government lists it as 1,532.7 meters.

Historical records indicate that Mount Tai became a sacred site frequented by emperors for sacrifices and meditation during the Zhou Dynasty, over 1,000 years before the Christian era. A total of 72 emperors are documented to have visited the mountain.

Mount Tai is one of the “Five Great Mountains” and is associated with sunrise, birth, and renewal. It is often considered the foremost of the five. For at least 3,000 years, Mount Tai has been a place of worship and served as a significant ceremonial center in China throughout much of this time.
