Nara tour - Abdullah was great! There was no communication barrier for because his English is excellent. He was punctual and attentive to all our needs. He was very knowledgeable about not only Nara but really all of Japan. I definitely would recommend him. We got his information from TripAdvisor!

Wonderful day - Hassan was fabulous! Very accommodating and helpful. We would love him as our driver again! Nara is very cute. Feeding the wild deer and walking through the gardens were a wonderful way to be active outside and food street was a great experience. Kyoto has a lot to do and see and favorites included walking over the bridge and the bamboo forrest.

Perfect combination of a tour and city transfer! - Khan was very lovely! He communicated with us via What’s app 2 days before to go over the itinerary and pick up location. We started in our Kyoto hotel. Our tour started at 9:30, Khan was in our lobby by 9:15! He spoke perfect English and Japanese! Taught us some historical facts! Was great with our 3 small children! Allowed us to hit all the major attractions: Bamboo Forest, Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, Monkey Park, Nara park! He even took us some places that weren’t on our list! The company was so great, and even dropped us off to our next city (Osaka) so we can avoid 1 less train ride/luggage transfer for our family of 5! Highly recommend!

Incredible Day in Nara, Gion, and Fushimi with Hasan! - We had an amazing experience on our private tour with Nihon Horizon! Hasan, our driver and guide, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating throughout the day. We chose to explore Nara, Gion, and Fushimi Inari, and Hasan made sure we got the most out of every stop. He shared interesting local tips, helped us avoid crowds. One highlight was when he brought us to a fun sushi restaurant that we never would have found on our own, it was delicious and converyor belt fun. The car was clean and comfortable, and the whole day felt relaxed yet well-organized. We felt safe, cared for, and never rushed. It was a perfect balance of sightseeing, culture, and hidden gems. Highly recommend this tour if you want a stress-free and memorable day in Kyoto or the surrounding areas. Be sure to ask for Hasan!

Do not take Viator they send you to get fucked ...... if there is a problem and does not refund - Horrible and scam! We paid 550€ for one day Kyoto Iju Nara at Osaka . The driver broke down, 9am no one, Viator offers us another driver for noon, stuck we accept, it only arrives at 1pm, firection Fushimi Inari quickly and leave to arrive in Nara 4:30pm we find ourselves doing only a temple at the pace because the temples close at 5pm from there we will see nothing but the hotel in Osaka. We ask for a refund of the half th day and there against all expectations, he politely sends us to get laid ...... This is the Viator Service. They take their coms and the rest is no longer their problem. I will clarify that this claimant is not a Japanese claimant, otherwise it would not have happened

AVOID: The worst “tour” ever - absolute waste of money and time - Do NOT waste your money. This was, without exaggeration, the most appalling "tour" I've ever endured. We explicitly booked for a knowledgeable tour guide to visit multiple locations from Osaka to Kyoto, and the company confirmed our driver, Talha, was indeed our guide. This was a blatant lie. The promised 8-9 locations turned into a miserable 3 stops before we gave up. At the first two, Talha simply dropped us off, saying, "I will meet you here in an hour." No context, no information. At the third, he pointed, said "This is the temple," walked us up the path, and immediately back down, silent. I learned absolutely nothing. Over 6 hours, Talha uttered less than 10 words. Every question met with a one-word, unhelpful response. We had no idea where we were going until we arrived, eventually directing him ourselves. The hour-long, silent car rides between stops were dreadful. This was a profoundly disappointing and utterly incompetent experience. Talha provided zero guiding. I would never recommend this company, not even to my worst enemy. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Unreliable, over-priced operator - This tour operator is sketchy and over-priced. Our original, long-scheduled tour of Kyoto canceled on us. At this late date there were no other tours available that could accommodate our group of 8. I booked with this operator even if it cost almost 3X the original booking. Despite reserving a tour for up to 9 people in a large HiAce van, the posted reservation cited a reservation for 6 people. When I contacted the operator, they confirmed that it would be for 8 people. The day before, I confirmed all the details again, including party of 8, pick up location and time. That evening, I was contacted by the driver, who asked what time I wanted to be picked up. A little while later he asked where we wanted to be picked up. At this point I realized that perhaps he hadn't been given any information about the tour requirements. He hadn't been told that we had 8 people. He said he would bring 2 vehicles to accommodate us. He said he had merely been hired by the operator to do this job. The reason I paid so much for this tour was to keep us together as a family. It was designed to be part of the experience. I have used Viator many times without any issues. This is the first and I hope the last bad experience.
