Successful pickup - Very good communication for the few days before our arranged pick up. There was a taxi strike at the time which complicated things but all went well.

Athens is Beautiful - We started a little late. The first stop was the changing of the guard. This was incredible to watch. People definitely need to be more respectful. Next stop was to the Acropolis museum. Take it all in. Such a great history. It's great having a written history on different items to match when we went to the Acropolis. Next stop was the Acropolis. It's easy incline walk. The afternoon was filled with Greek Frappes and wonderful food. Dimitrois recommended an app for historic/tourist spots in Athens.

Best Athens Tour EVER! - Dimitrius Nitsolas was our driver. A friend had set it up about 6 weeks before we came to Athens. He picked us up and took us straight to the changing of the guards. He wanted to make sure we were able to watch that before going to other places further away. We then went to the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis. He had cold water for us because they don't sell it as you are going to the top. He had told us to call him when we were walking out of the Acropolis and he would be there and he was!! He had the car cool and ready for us. Our next stop was the Panathenaic Stadium. We were hot and hungry. He talked and shared the history of Athens as he drove us to lunch. We ate at Manopakh Greek Restaurant. Dimitrius helped us order and talked to us while we ate. It was delicious! After lunch he took us to have coffee up on a tall hill over the city. It was Prasini. The coffee was so good and the view was breathtaking!! He came to meet us and make a plan B because it was about to rain. He didn't want us to waste our time and money going somewhere that we wouldn't be able to see the sunset. We decided to do some walking in the market by our hotel. He showed us excavation sites where people were clearing out. That day we didn't get to go to the southern part of Athens because of the weather and clouds. But no worries- Dimitrius picked us up a few days later for that tour. He was so helpful and accommodating. I would recommend him to everyone. He is also very knowledgeable and speaks amazing English.
