Best way to learn about Cabo Verde - This tour was the best way to immerse into the history, economy, culture of Capo Verde and to enjoy the landscape of Santiago island. Our guide Valter was fun, gave us the right mix of info and answered all the questions. Money well spent.:)

A perfectly organized and unforgettable day on Santiago - We had a wonderful tour yesterday on the island of Santo Antão, starting in Ponta do Sol. The drive took us through the stunning mountain landscapes with breathtaking views, including many stops to take photos and fully enjoy the scenery. One of the highlights was visiting the beautiful village of Tarrafal de Monte Trigo with its lovely beach. Our guide recommended a seaside restaurant there, offering fantastic food and a breathtaking view directly by the ocean. We also visited banana plantations and learned a lot about the island, its nature, and local life. Overall, the day was perfectly organized and truly memorable. A special mention goes to the guide: extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and communication was excellent throughout the tour. The recommendations he gave were all spot-on and authentic. We also really appreciated having a separate driver and guide, which made the whole experience very relaxed and high quality. We were very satisfied and can highly recommend this tour.

Super engaged guide tour - Our guide Alex told very vivid about Cape Verde, its history as well as the things we saw along the way. During the whole trip he was very helpful and gladly answered questions. It was also a good way to see the island, from one end to the other. The trip can definitely be recommended.

Excellent - Santiago in one day (without Praia and Cidade Velha). A diverse and fascinating tour across the island of Santiago, led by an excellent guide — Alex (speaking six languages!) — and Box, our reliable and safe driver. The route and stops around the island are very well chosen, and special requests are happily accommodated. There’s no rush at any of the stops, and you receive plenty of clear, easy-to-understand information about Cape Verde in general and Santiago in particular. The 15-seat minibus (with nine guests on board), a Toyota Hiace, was almost new and very clean. Comfortable seats, too. Excellent value for money. What impressed me even more? I had a question the day before — via Viator — and Alex replied within 30 minutes. Exemplary service.

Great tour! So much fun with the family - We took a tour with Walter, who was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. One of our favorite stops was Tarafal. Throughout the day, he shared excellent restaurant recommendations and made thoughtful stops at small roadside stands to introduce us to fruits native to the region, along with many other local insights. The tour was exceptionally thorough and well paced. Exploring the island this way allowed us to see so much in a very short amount of time, and it truly felt like the best possible introduction to the area. I would absolutely do this tour again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

Very nice and interesting excursion, where you learned a lot about the island of Santiago as well as about land and people. - Very nice and interesting excursion with the guide "magic" Orlando, where you learned a lot about the island of Santiago as well as about the land and people of Cabo Verde. We also received helpful tips on sights and restaurants for our city tour in Praia, which was conducted independently after the day trip. Overall it was a really great day!!!

Great Way to See the Island - This was a really good way to see the island of Santiago. Our guides Walter and Daisy were great - very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information. My only criticism was the van that we were travelling in was pretty cramped quarters for such a lot of driving. Overall however I would recommend this tour as a great way to experience all the different aspects of the island of Santiago.

Highly recommended to see Santiago in a day - Fantastic trip. Highly recommended to see Santiago in a day. My only suggestions are Walter who was very knowledgeable needs to speak louder and it should be made clear when booking that if you are staying outside of the city extra cost is involved. Best to go on a Wednesday or a Saturday as those are market days.
