• Ingleses Bridge - Originally designed to extend 800 meters into the sea, the Bridge of the English began construction in 1920 to serve as a port for embarking and disembarking people and goods. This was necessary because the Metálica Bridge, the main port of Fortaleza at the time, was in disrepair and undergoing reconstruction in the early 1920s. The bridge is named after its designers, engineers from the English company Nastor Griffts.
