• Prague Castle - As Prague’s top attraction, it can be quite crowded. A decision will be made on-site about exploring it. The cathedral is its most fascinating feature, with its unique location having both religious and political significance. A detailed explanation of the Gothic style’s development will be provided, offering insights rarely found in other tours.
• Nerudova Street - A beautiful yet tourist-heavy street, soon leading to St. John’s Hill, a peaceful area once home to many Italian artists. The reasons and history behind this will be shared, linking art, religion, and politics.
• Malostranske namesti - The stunning central square of the Lesser Town, rich in architecture, history, tales of religious upheaval, baroque grandeur, and espionage stories from WWI.
• Maltezske namEsti - Approaching the Vltava river, this charming little square features the church and embassy of the Maltese knights, the French embassy’s palace, the Lennon Wall, and Kampa island, a lovely green oasis with intriguing attractions.
• Museum Kampa - A delightful contemporary art museum housed in a former mill, showcasing the largest collection of František Kupka, a pioneer of Abstract Painting. This museum, initiated by a remarkable woman in Prague’s recent history, is a favorite, and her fascinating biography is available in the library.
• Most Legii - If Charles Bridge is too crowded, the Legions’ Bridge offers a crossing to Old Town and the National Theatre, which played a significant role in the 19th-century independence movement. A detailed introduction to this history will be provided.
