Fantastic tour - This hike was absolutely incredible! The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish — lush vegetation and the beautiful Salto do Prego waterfall as the highlight. The trail through the old abandoned village of Sanguinho was also really interesting and added a unique touch to the experience. Our guide, Samuel, was fantastic — super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. He shared great insights about the local nature, history, and culture, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the hike. Ending the day in Furnas was the perfect way to relax after the adventure — the hot springs were amazing! Overall, this tour is a must-do if you want to explore the natural beauty and charm of the island. Highly recommend, especially with Samuel as your guide!

Great day - Great hike into the falls. Samuel is very knowledgeable about the history and botany. The stop in Furnas was perfect with time to do our own lunch and flexibility to tour the town or take in the thermal bath and park.

Waterfall hike then hot spring reward. - Had a wonderful hike and tour with Samuel. He was such a knowledgeable and freindly guide. The hike was medium difficulty with the greatest degree of difficulty at the beginning. My wife seemed to suffer from a bit of allergies at the onset. Samuel was so patient and helped with giving stops while keeping the group informed and entertained during these small needed breaks. We really appreciated that. The waterfalls were absolutely breathtaking. The hike itself was a great trek and took about 2 hours in total. The trip to furnas was an absolute treat. The hot springs and garden were a perfect way to end off our tour. This tour is one of a few 'must do' tours to see so much of the beauty from crater to ocean vistas. Thank you Samuel!!

Excellent guide, especially for hiking tours - Samuel took us on a fantastic hike. He was attentive and careful to ensure everyone was able to safely do the hike. When the hot springs were unavailable he had several alternate suggestions for a revisited schedule, which turned out great! He is very knowledgeable and concerned about providing great tours for his clients. We were able to join another hike a couple days later, which was as awesome as the first one. Highly recommend Samuel to provide tour ideas to meet your needs.

Excellent tour to this beautiful waterfall - Samuel came to pick us up at our hotel and began telling us about the island and answering any questions we had about the Azores! He drove us to a little village near Nordeste. It was a beautiful drive arriving at the beginning of the trail to this waterfall. On the way he explained the significance of the abandon town. We also saw some lovely chickens and roosters on our way. There is a degree of difficulty to this hike but most of it is under the folliage of the trees. Such a breath-taking finish to come to the beautiful waterfall. It took us a few hours and afterwards, Samuel took us for a snack and then we went to the hot springs for a relaxing bath after our hike. Samuel was very accomodating and very informative on all questions about the island. I hightly recommend booking this trip. Samuel is outstanding! He was the best guide we had all week. Make sure you give him as much notice as possible. He books ahead and fills up quickly. Michelle from Canada

Great afternoon hike - Sam was a great hiking guide. His knowledge and previous experiences really added to our total trip. We originally signed up for this tour because it was offered in the afternoon. But it was just a great experience overall. The little village and stories were captivating, the waterfall was worth the hike, the chickens were a welcome addition for a little way along our hike. We really appreciated his patience as we worked our way up the inclines! Thanks Sam for a great afternoon.
