- Postojna Cave - A journey into the 2 million-year-old cave with a spectacular interior.
Postojna Cave is an impressive cave with global recognizability that has already reached 38 million visitors in 200 years since it was opened to the public. A wonder happened when the Pivka river threaded its way into the underground world and created first a cave and later a breathtaking interior with a fantastic web of tunnels, galleries, halls, and passages. A picturesque karst phenomenon also created unique natural formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, petrified waterfalls, and cave pearls. One of the endless wonders in the cave is also the so-called “human fish” or “proteus” - a blind animal most notable for its adaptations to a life of complete darkness in its underground habitat.
- Predjama Castle - A magnificent world-famous castle that evokes fantasy and mysterious feelings.
Predjama Castle, one of the most picturesque Renaissance castles from the 16th century, is built on a 123-meter high cliff and has a connection with a mysterious cave system underneath the castle. The dramatic, unconquerable, majestic, and mysterious castle is also written in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest cave castle in the world. The interior of the castle is today transformed into an interesting museum where you can see objects that were found in the castle - chalice, three goblets, cup with a cover, cup, windmill cup, salt cellar, and two candlesticks.
- Piran - The picturesque town of the Adriatic, labeled as “the Mediterranean treasure”. Piran, an outstanding and one of the most authentic towns surrounded by the sea, is a historical and cultural monument. The town has a typical Mediterranean spirit with its narrow streets and closely constructed houses. The “dream town” boasts an old town wall (with a breathtaking view from the top), the main square (with the statue of the well-known Giuseppe Tartini, who was a composer, a violinist, and was born in this town), the picturesque St. George Parish church, and other attractions. Let’s join the locals and sit by the sea, chat, and listen to the sounds of the sea.
