Look Ma, no doors! - My husband and I had an unforgettable experience today exploring the Amalfi Coast with our guide, Luigi, and I can’t recommend this tour enough! It was a spontaneous decision that turned into the highlight of our trip. The late September weather, mild and sunny, was perfect for the open-air adventure. Luigi, our local guide, was an absolute gem. His pleasant demeanor, deep knowledge of the region, and quick wit made the journey both informative and fun. As a proud local, his passion for Amalfi’s culture and history shone through in every story he shared, from tales of ancient fishing villages to the secrets behind the coast’s iconic lemons. His laid-back yet hardworking approach was a perfect fit. He gave us the flexibility to choose the order of our stops and offered spot-on suggestions along the way, ensuring we hit the best viewpoints and hidden gems. The tour itself was unique, conducted in a vintage car with no doors—talk about an immersive experience! The open design let us soak in the sea breeze and stunning vistas as we wound along the coastal road. We made several photo stops, capturing the dramatic cliffs, colorful towns like Maiori and Amalfi, and the sparkling sea. The lack of doors added a thrilling edge, especially on the narrow turns, but Luigi’s calm expertise kept us at ease. For a late September afternoon, this was the ideal way to experience the coast. It was less crowded than peak summer, with golden light enhancing every view. The tour lasted a few delightful hours, leaving us with memories (and photos! Luigi had a Polaroid camera for us to use) to cherish. Luigi’s adaptability and genuine love for his homeland made this more than just a tour, it felt like a personal journey with a friend.
