Thank you Renato for an enjoyable and informative day. - This was a full day tour visiting Christo Rei, Machico viewpoint, the Rum distillery,Santana, Ribeiro Frio, and Pico d o Areeiro. Our guide/driver was Renato who was extremely knowledgeable about the history and flora. He also had a gentle sense of humour.

Eastern Delights of Madeira - Fabulous trip. 15 customers in total in an air conditioned minibus. Driver, Renato, was excellent and also provided the very informative commentary. Plenty of stops for photo opportunities and one long stop in the lovely town of Santana for lunch. The excursion lasted just over 7 hours and if you have only enough time for one excursion, this is the one I would recommend.

Fabulous trips in Madeira with Lionel - Fabulous experience with our guide Lionel (Ritchie!!!) - who was funny and extremely knowledgeable. We did two tours. The East and West of Madeira. Both were very enjoyable.

Magnificent Madeira - From the very beginning we received excellent communication from Viator who we booked the tour with. They gave us maps and precise directions on how and where to connect with our tour guide. Our guide Renato was simply outstanding right from the moment we met him through to when our tour concluded and he dropped us off at our ship. The tour itself was amazing! Madeira is such a beautiful island and there is so much to see. This was a full day tour as we were picked up at 9 am and dropped off 4:45 pm. There was never a dull moment. We shared a van with about 8 others and everyone stuck to the schedule that Renato gave us at each stop. Renato's non stop commentary was awesome as he shared the history and so many details of the island with us. If you want an in depth look at the island of Madeira, I can't think of a better way to do it and especially if you get Renato as your tour guide.

Everyone recommended - Nicely picked up on time, clear English explanation from our guide Alex, good driver. Beautiful drive along the cliffs on the coast. Unfortunately fog in mountains. A beautiful day.

Wonderful day tour - Punctual start in a minibus. Bus driver and tour guide did a great job. We laughed a lot. There was a lot of information about Madeira and fantastic viewpoints. It's a great day.

Great Itinerary for a Madeira East Day Out - A really varied itinerary, which included coastal landmarks, rum and molasses tasting at a sugar cane museum, a longer stay in Santana village, to see the rustic houses and chapel, and then winding up through the forest, to Madeira’s third highest peak; with breathtaking views. Alex our guide was very courteous, informative and interesting. He provided commentary between every stop and advice on how to get the best out of each location. We were a mixed group of 13 in a minibus, professionally driven by Georges; who skilfully navigated the twisty - turny roads in the mountains. I travelled solo but had good company from two couples and two families. Suitable for all ages, with four stops which had toilets and refreshment options. Some of the stops required traversing some rocky terrain to maximise the views, so trainers and a sun hat recommended. Also take bottled drinks to stay hydrated. Temperature didn’t really drop as we went into the mountains but I understand the difference in temperature to Funchal would be more contrasted in the winter months. A really enjoyable day. Worth mentioning too that my hotel pick up was clearly communicated by WhatsApp and email. Highly recommended.

Madeira 4x4 east coast trip - Alex was our guide for the day and he was very knowledgeable and Informative We saw some fabulous views and went off road in the 4x4 where we really saw great first class surroundings Super service by Alex

It was okay. No AC on the... - It was okay. No AC on the bus and there was a mixup with the tourist group. We had to return to the same stop for a group on the tour. Did not feel like there was enough time at the stops where we had to walk. It was rushed.
