- Carrickfergus Castle - Our final stop is at Carrickfergus Castle, located on the northern shore of Belfast Lough. This Norman castle, dating back to 1177, has been besieged by the Scots, Irish, English, and French over the centuries. It remains one of the best-preserved medieval structures in Ireland and offers a fantastic photo opportunity.

Only book this if you arriving into Belfast port on a cruise ship.

Highly recommend! - Tour left right from the cruise port, very mindful of our timetable for the cruise. Troy was the best guide we’ve had this trip! He’s very professional, informative, and gave us a great tour of Giants Causeway and the coast! A tour from our cruise ship was ridiculously priced and we ran into the other passengers at every stop, so it’s almost identical for a portion of the price. Back in plenty of time for our cruise departure, could have even gone into Belfast for an hour or two before departure had we wanted. Highly recommend!

Troy is the best guide and driver! - We had a blast having Troy as our guide for the day. We arrived by cruise ship and the bus was waiting for us to disembark. Troy was very informative and entertaining. The Giant's Causeway does involve a bit of walking. Due to bad knees, I only walked about halfway down, while my husband went all the way. His photos along the coast are stunning.
As we drove by the Peace Wall area of Belfast, Troy gave us a history lesson about the "Troubles".
I would recommend this tour, especially for cruise ship passengers as it is a lot more affordable than the ship's tours.

Amazing experience - Our day with Lisa, our tour guide, and Gabriel, our driver was fantastic! They were so easy to locate right away in the morning without difficulty and showed us exactly where to go. Lisa had so much knowledge of the area that she shared with us. Giants Causeway was gorgeous despite the misty weather. We saw a lot of additional sites along the way and our guide took the time to collect preorders to make things easier at the restaurant for lunch. This team went above and beyond to make sure that everyone enjoyed the day. Make sure you take this tour. You won’t regret it!

Amazing!! - This tour was amazing!! The price was excellent! The tour guide, Lisa, and bus driver, Gabriel, were wonderful! Lisa was so knowledgeable about the history of Northern Ireland- we learned so much. They picked us up right after we got off our ship. So much was packed into the 9- hour tour! Loved the Giant’s Causeway and glad we got 1 1/2 hours there. Lunch at Harry’s was excellent, also. We all want to come back and it is in part because of Lisa and part the beauty of Northern Ireland! 💕

The absolute best tour I’ve ever been on! - This is the best trip I’ve had so far! As a solo traveler, I felt completely welcomed and engaged the entire time. Our guide was extraordinarily nice and knowledgeable—I’ve never listened to history being told in such a fascinating way. The tour also offers a great balance, giving you lots of independent time for exploring the city and enjoying some beautiful hiking. Highly recommend!

Loved it! - Highly recommended - this was a great day out and perfect itinerary to see Giant’s Causeway for far less than the excursion through the cruise line and with a much smaller group. We had a great time!

Excellent tour in Belfast - It’s a great way to see the Giant’s Causeway and some beautiful landscapes. The tour itself deserves 5 stars. However, our guide (who was also the driver) spent a lot of time telling us personal stories about himself and his family, while providing relatively little historical information.
He talked almost continuously for several hours, and the speakers were very loud. We asked if he could lower the volume, but he said he couldn’t because it was fixed.
I understand that some tourists may enjoy hearing personal stories from their guides, but for me, there was too much talking and not enough historical information about the places we were visiting.

Problem with pickup - On the 27th of Mai about 20 people were waiting, but the bus didn’t come, and we didn’t receive a phone call about the delay either. When I called the office, they said there had been some kind of problem, but that the bus would be coming.
Our bus arrived more than half an hour late.
After that, the driver-tour guide performed his duties in an exemplary manner.

Lack of Instructions and Missing Booking - I booked this excursion through Viator, but unfortunately I never received any instructions from the tour operator. The only information available in the booking was a general guideline saying that cruise passengers arriving before 8:00 AM would depart at 8:30 AM.
When we arrived at the port, there were several companies contracted by Viator, but none of them had my booking on their list. It was confusing and frustrating to be standing there with no clear direction and no representative who recognized our reservation.
The only positive part of the experience was that one of the drivers/guides — who was not even assigned to us — was incredibly kind and allowed us to join his group so we wouldn’t be left behind. His kindness saved the day, but this should not have been necessary.
Overall, the lack of communication and missing booking information made this a stressful experience. I hope Viator and the local operator improve their coordination and provide clear instructions to avoid this happening to other travelers.
