Isle of Skye, The Highlands and Loch Ness - 3 Day Tour from Glasgow - Our 3-day tour was terrific! We are a family of 5 adults (mother, daughter & son-in-law, son & daughter-in-law). First, we must thank to our tour guide, Colin: his knowledge on history, geography of Scotland and places visited (sharing interesting facts about our stops) was paired with great sense of humor. He made my family and I feel extremely well cared for and made sure we had a great time. We even bumped into him again a few days later when we visited Stirling castle! Please make sure to tell him how amazing he was. As for the tour itself, it was one of the best I've ever done and the sunny weather made it even better. Each of the 3 days were fully packed with interesting and fun activities, and we had enough time in Skye to wander around and relax a bit. Scotland is truly a beautiful country and the entire tour was breathtaking.

Amazing trip with Paul Santa - This is an excellent trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye through the Scottish highlands. A definite recommend. Accommodation was lovely, but getting dinner was a bit trickier in Portree - make a reservation if possible. Our tour guide Paul Santa was amazing! His positive energy, excitement and knowledge made the trip unforgettable. He gave facts, stories, myths and legends about all the places visited and passed by. You knew where you were and what was happening at all times. He even went beyond to show us remarkable sceneries and views. The absolute best tour guide in my experience!

Magical tour with Mark - Fantastic Highlands & Isle of Skye tour. Perfect balance between getting to see a range of the historic & natural sights of the Isle of Skye with passionate commentary & storytelling from our tour guide Mark. Mark’s enthusiasm & joy for the countryside really shone through and made this a memorable and thoughtful experience. I could not recommend the tour with Mark at the wheel and on the microphone highly enough. Everything worked and Mark was always checking in with the tour group on what we’d like to see and gave the group options to visit main sights , Castles & Talisker distillery , Loch Ness cruise etc along with the natural beauty spots & historical markers. We packed a lot in yet at the same time it was very relaxing and enabled you time to think & absorb. Plenty of time to stretch our legs and take some moderate walks to get better views of the mountains, waterfalls and beaches along the way.

3 day tour to Skye - We really enjoyed our 3 day trip. Our guide Iain really made the experience. He catered for a wide variety of interests and ages within our group- no mean feat. His knowledge and passion for Scotland was wonderful and he not only showed us the top tourist spots along our journey, but also found us many hidden gems where we could enjoy the highlands quietly. This trip includes a huge number of miles for the 3 days but Iain kept us entertained throughout!

A tour and guide to enjoy - Mark was excellent. While he's still learning about the region, he knew so much about the folklore and history of the area. The information imparted was both educational, informative, and very enjoyable. He was a very good driver given the amount of area and milage covered. He was very personable and attentive to the group's needs. I would strongly recommend Mark as a great tour guide for the Isle of Skye three-day tour or any number of days.

A great tour, but do some homework first... - The itinerary and pacing of the trip was great. Lots to see and Mary the tour guide did an excellent job of describing the areas we were visiting. Five stars to her. The accomodation booking was handled well, and we appreciated having information about making dinner reservations in Portree prior to traveling. Whether I would recommend this particular trip to a friend is a trickier question. The Timberbush Tour van that we traveled in was a 16 passenger Mercedes Transit, configured with four rows of 3 seats across and four seats across the back row. There is not sufficient room for four average adults in that back row, so we spent two of the three days (almost 20 hours riding time) crammed in like sardines in that space. My advice to Timberbush is to cap bookings at 15 bodies on vans configured in that fashion. The alternative is to have a quarter of your customers walk away from an otherwise pleasant experience with memories of an uncomfortable drive. My advice to potential customers is to directly contact the tour operator and confirm their booking policies before spending a significant amount of money on a tour like this. For example, we also traveled on a tour booked through Viator with another company (Rabbie's Tours) who used the same style Mercedes Transit van, but it was configured with only three seats across the back row, and there were no comments among the travelers about an uncomfortable journey. If you are going to spend multiple days and many hours traveling in this fashion it is worth some up front research to make your trip the best it can be.
