Incredible day and wonderful tour guide! - This was an absolutely fabulous day! I would highly recommend doing this tour. Tiago was our driver for the day and he was fantastic. Picked us up on time in a comfy Mercedes van and took us to a small family owned place as our first stop and we knew then it was going to be a great day. He was so knowledgeable and incredibly kind, warn and funny. The winery on the top of the hill (very windy roads and he was great driver) was also wonderful as was the boat ride). And the last stop, lunch & port tasting, was the perfect ending. Well worth every single penny!

Wonderful day in Douro Valley - We enjoyed our day with Tiago. Very nice guy. He was prompt, pleasant and passionate about the Douro Valley and Portugal. He gave us good advice about what we should and should not do. You could tell he really loves his job!

A human experience not to be missed. - Beautiful family day in the Douro Valley! Julio our guide, knew how to share with us all his passion for his region, his wines and his history. The stages were perfectly chosen, between tastings, splendid views and moments of relaxation. Thank you Julio for a wonderful day full of discoveries and conviviality!

Our Guide Nuno - We had an exceptional experience with Nuno. We have been on several private tours but Nuno surpassed everyone!! He was very knowledgeable, funny and took the time to understand our needs and customize the trip for us. He took exceptional care to meet everyone's needs. Highly recommend!! We had the best time, stopping for a quick coffee in Pesa de Regua, then on to quick tour of olive oil making and an olive oil tasting with honey almonds and bread and a white, red and rose at D'origem . Then off to an hour long boat ride at Pinhao, a four course lunch with endless bottles of wine, 10, 20 and 30yr port tasting and finally vino verde and red wine with ham, cheese and bread at Amaranthe. We walked around Amaranthe and finally were dropped off at our hotel. Would recommend it to everyone. Worth every penny.

Great private tour of Douro valley! - We spent a wonderful day touring the Douro valley with our driver/guid Manuel. He was very friendly and informative. We to Amarante first for breakfast of smoked ham, cheese and bread and tasted red and white green wines. Then we went to a lovely vineyard for more tastings of wine and olive oil, with a tour of olive oil production methods. A nice 1 hour relaxing boat trip on the river followed. And then finished with a lovely lunch (with more wine) in the gardens of a very old vineyard farmhouse, along with tastings of various aged port wines. All in all a really lovely day!!!

Wonderful private tour with Marcio! Wouldn't change a thing. - My husband and I had a private tour as part of our 25th anniversary with Marcio, who was a wonderful guide. We debated about a group tour but given our special occasion just wanted to have some personalized attention, which is what we received. We also initially planned to customize the tour to see bigger wineries but decided to go with what the tour company recommended and we're glad we did. First we stopped in Amerante and Marcio treated us to some green wine and their special pastries and after a short stop there we moved on to the beautiful region of the Duoro Valley. We stopped by an absolutely lovely quinta with breathtaking views that also had the most amazing olive oil tasting (wine was delicious as well) and tour and visiting a smaller place also gave us the opportunity to meet and hear from the owner. Then we chose to add the optional river cruise and realized we didn't have some wine for the tour so Marcio called another guide he knew and voila, wine was there for us. He went out of his way to find out what we liked and made sure we had everything we wanted. We ended with a lunch and port tour of an amazing, old quinta winery that had stunning views and wonderful food. I'm glad we chose to go with their places because the smaller places are less commercialized so they were more personalized and less busy experiences. Highly recommend both the tour and Marcio as our guide. Thank you for a memorable and wonderful experience.

Our guide had an agenda... - Our guide had an agenda that he wanted to follow, including specific stops. We asked about alternatives to the lunch he had chosen and he was not flexible. He did not offer other options for us, other that one that would have been over 200 euro per person. Took us to a tavern and ordered for us, not what we would have chosen. We would have like to stop and take a few photos of the beautiful scenery along the way. It did not feel like a private tour that we could help guide.

Not impressed - I previously used this service two years ago to book a private Douro valley wine tour with Bruno. It was fantastic. Bruno arrived in a clean and beautiful Mercedes with black pants, white shirt and a tie. He spoke perfect English and constantly provided Portuguese history while on our drive. I again booked this trip for some friends two years later and again requested Bruno. I found it quite difficult to communicate with Sabrina. WhatsApp and phone calls went unanswered. I had to be very proactive to simply find out answers to simple questions. I was told they are very busy. Once I arrived in Porto I again found it unable to talk to anyone. I found it necessary to actually walk to the office where I encountered a girl with dark red dyed hair who wasn’t sure if we had a reservation or not. She finally found it and told us our driver would be Ze. She then requested our pickup point (which I had previously provided). I asked for Ze’s WhatsApp number as I had not been contacted by a driver and our tour was the next day. I messaged Ze who finally confirmed our 0830 appointment. Ze is a kind and interactive young man who arrived in baggy jeans and a tshirt, hardly the dress I would expect with a personal tour in a Mercedes. He tried as best he could to speak English. Then on the way home he thought we owed him more money. I assured him I had paid the 500 euros to Sabrina. He never the less called Sabrina who had to verify we didn’t still owe money. I find this insulting that this company can’t keep straight their accounting to know I paid a huge amount of money in advance. In addition, I was the one who had to contact them when the second payment was due. Again, I was told they are very busy. Unfortunately, I will not be using this company again. It appears they are growing way too rapidly to manage their clients in a professional manner.
