There is ample time to visit the impressive Sanctuary of Fatima, where, in 1917, three children reported seeing apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Within the grounds, guests can admire the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, which houses the tombs of the three shepherds, and the contemporary Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, which can accommodate over 8,000 people.
• Batalha Monastery - In the historic village of Batalha, visitors can marvel at the stunning Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, a remarkable Gothic monument in Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This monastery was commissioned by King John I to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385.
