Igor’s an amazing tour guide! - Igor was an amazing tour guide. He kept us informed, was fun, educational and ensured we had a wonderful time. Miguel was a great driver, attentive, kind and made us feel safe along the narrow and beautiful roads. We had a lovely time! Thank you, Igor & Miguel!

Stunning Douro Valley and an excellent tour . - The tour was one of the best I’ve been on. The Douro Valley is stunningly beautiful and there was plenty of wine and port samples to try, and the wine at lunch was free flowing. Milena our tour guide was excellent. She was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Again one the best tour guides.

Great! - This tour was incredible from start to finish! We explored two beautiful locations in the Douro Valley, enjoying generous Port wine tastings at each stop. The hour-long river cruise was peaceful and scenic—absolutely breathtaking views the entire way. Lunch was delicious and authentic, and the free WiFi was a nice bonus. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel special. With hotel pickup and drop-off included, everything was smooth and stress-free. It was the perfect mix of nature, culture, and fun—definitely a “drink till you can’t” kind of day in the best way possible. Highly recommend!

100% recommend - I would absolutely recommend a trip to the Duoro Valley, with massive thanks to our guide, Ivo. From the moment he picked us up, he made us feel welcome allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the stunning natural beauty of the valley. Ivo’s knowledge of the region’s history was excellent, his enthusiasm was contagious, and his passion for the area was evident in the way he spoke about it. Beyond his knowledge, Ivo went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the group felt comfortable and engaged, making the trip feel personal. If you’re planning a visit to the Duruo Valley, I can’t recommend Ivo enough. He turned an already beautiful destination into a great day

Douro Wine Tasting Experience! - This excursion was a lot better than we thought. We were picked up from our apartment in Bolhão at 0800 which was fine by us, giving us plenty of time to be ready. Our tour guide, Pedro was waiting for us outside and extended us a warm welcome. We quickly picked up 6 other people and headed to the Douro valley. The first experience was a lovey trip down the Douro river and the opportunity to take photos of all the vineyards in the valley. We also visited a vantage point (see photo) to see a breathtaking view of the whole valley! When we got back from there, we were treated to a delicious 3 course meal. The cod I had was great and the white wine to go with the meal kept coming, without us even having to ask! After the lunch, we moved next door for the first of two wine tasting sessions. We got to try white & red Douro wines and a tawny port (delicious). The young lad explaining the history and make up of the wines was exceptional and very knowledgeable, so much so that we purchased a bottle of port from him. A short driven journey to another winery, we started another wine tasting. The host here (Luiz I think) was also very knowledgeable, he even allowed a member of the group to enter one of the large, room size wine silos to see how they’re cleaned. Our favourite part of the trip was a bit of a surprise but a welcome one when we discovered our wine tasting session was to take place in the cellar where the wines and ports were kept! Same process as the first session our host Luiz explained about the wines and ports made in their winery. My wife and I agreed that the best port was the tawny, closely followed by the ruby! (We picked up a bottle of this too given it was so affordable). After all of this and feeling quite tipsy by now, we headed back to Porto. We can’t stress enough how fantastic Pedro was throughout. He made the whole experience an absolute delight, covering everything off so well that it felt like a friend was showing us around rather than someone we’d just met. The Douro Valley is a must if you’re visiting Porto! Obrigado Pedro!

Great Tour to Discover the Douro Valley - This was a very nice and informative tour! It is a full day but well worth it! Ivo, our tour guide, did a great job of telling about the region and points along the way. The tasting tours were great and informative also. Lunch was delicious and the wine just poured! I highly recommend this tour to experience the Douro Valley and to get to know the Port production in general.

Douro valley trip. - The tour was excellent and very informative. Ivo, the tour guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Ivo went out of his way to help my husband (who has poor mobility) to attend some wine tasting where he would normally have had to walk down some steep steps. Overall, it was a very enjoyable day and I would highly recommend Ivo as a tour guide.

Potential but overall Poor experience - I was recommended this tour by friends and also saw some great reviews. I booked this for my partners birthday, and only had 2 days in porto (this being allocated to one of them). Although it was a good day, there were definitely some things that were disappointing. The wine tasting was Port. Not wine - this wasn't disclosed well (appreciate we were in Porto, but I was expecting some other wines). Each of the tastings were done indoors - when it was a super nice day outside. Felt like we wasted the good day of weather. The place we went to for lunch was nice enough, but again, indoors. The lunch itself was extremely poor - I wish I took a photo, but the fish option was rice and dry fish cakes - I was expecting a nice meal and this was just embarrassing as this was meant to be a nice birthday meal out. Looking at other peoples reactions on our table, its clear they were as disappointed as I was - the meat dish was a pasta with random meat in it. The vegetarian option looked like a bland pasta salad. It also felt like they were trying to get us in and out of that place as quick as possible. This place surprisingly had the best wine out of all of the tastings, but we got no description or insight, and after they had taken the dessert plates, they refused to give anyone any more. My friend said they sat outside and had an amazing meal, so I'm not sure if they have changed parterships, but this was an very poor experience. All and all, a lot of driving, not a lot of time outside, poor wine tastings with Port which was not disclosed prior, and an awful lunch - I don't think you'd see this meal in a prison.
